Well, FA isn't the way to fix this team though. If the Jets are truly dedicated to building this team's foundation up, they've got to be draft focused. I'm not convinced that this was the year for the Jets to splurge in FA. The 49ers are going hog wild paying big money to Pierre Garçon, Brian Hoyer, and Marquise Goodwin. Not exactly game changers. These huge payouts usually don't pan out in proportion to the overall dollars.
FA for the Jets is a waste of time because they have more holes than any team in the NFL. Problem is the draft will take them 5 years to be competitive. And that's if they have the right people drafting which I'm not sure they do.
I don't disagree. This could be a tough stretch for the team over the next 3-5 years.
