of the current roster are there any players deserving of an extension
then go from there
we have 2 first round picks
will they get a 3rd

that cap money can go to all the draft picks
and any players worth an extension

but to over pay for talent that is just looking for a pay day and are not willing to participate needs to be avoided...

THIS with a capital T. No way they need to look at any FA over the age of 26-27. Anyone over that pass on.

The jets currently have more cap space than any team in the league. Were at $81 million prior to today's trade of McClendon.we are at just over $82.5.
Jax sits at just below with $80.6. There will be alot of talent with the lower cap. The saints and Eagles will be forced to release alot of talent they are so far over the cap and have been pushing back loaded and restructured contracts for a few years. The saints are $87 million over plus $8-9 mill for draft picks. That's not included practice squad. Eagles are $79 million over.
It's a good year to have cap space. Buyers market witn no buyers.

It don’t matter, they’ll find away to fuck it up anyway. They’ll sign someone like WHOMEVER IS NOT GOING TO HELP THIS WIN A DAMN GAME. Starting with the HC!

YEP! With Jets getting a GOOD QB since Namath and a few extra picks and CAP ,Jets are in great situation. Key is to not waste money on players like Bell, Mosley and get good Vet Leaders on both sides of the ball. Jets needs a Center as leader on O Line like Kevin Mawae and Nick Mangold. Defense needs that mean aggressive DT,DE,LB at any of those 3 positions to be Leader of D Line. Jets do not need Vets like last GM over paid with no heart lazy azzes. Im still mad at those 3 including our great over paid CB we cut. Jets are on the way to really having something guys! Draft a QB-WR-RB with first 3 picks with hiring the RIGHT Vets is right direction . The Head Coach is the next big thing to teach our next QB to play to his strengths. McDaniels from Pats with a 10 year contract might be the best known Offensive Coach and up our GM to match his term to HC making sure they both are tied to change Jets to win.
