The Truths: The NY Jets Edition

Thought it might be interesting for us to list the unassailable truths associated with our beloved, if not maddening, team. I'll start.

Whether under the stewardship of Hess or the Johnsons, the flawed decision making and philosophy of team ownership has failed miserably in its attempts to bring another championship to this franchise.

The jets are the NFL's version of Murphy's Law. If things can go cataclysmically wrong, they will.

and even when Leon Hess did the right thing and hired Parcells, he sadly died the year before we would have won the superbowl. Hess' untimely death led to Parcells' leaving, the whole belichick bullshit and the end of football as we knew it.

the one time in 50 years that this organization did the right thing, it brought on the biggest nightmare that any sport will ever see. go figure

a couple weeks back Francessa was talking about Hess and how Parcells loved the guy. He said if Hess had lived forever, Parcells would have coached for him forever. F... Me!

Once traded to the Jets, NFL super stars become mediocre players or worse.

No problem? What? You forgot all those years of Guttman running the team? Stunningly bad drafts? Awful GMs like Steinberg? Ridiculous hirings of HCs like Kotite, Coslet, and Walton? That's all on his watch.

I agree but I did not say he was great just good enough all teams have bad periods but he lost the chance for his good period...…….He got stuck with all those ex-giants from the bad years lol

I remember growing up & we always got r gas @ HESS - & I always wanted the Xmas HESS truck... That's how much my Dad loved the Jets

Yeah, not ripping on you at all, butter. You know how we all have our red line in the sand moments as Jet fans? I have two major ones with Hess: Hiring Kotite and moving us out of NY and into the Meadowlands. Both those moves ruined many years for me.
