I think your head is in the right place with building up the trenches. My tweak would be to propose a trade to someone in the 6-10 range, then draft one of Slater or Darrissaw at 6-10 (or Vera-Tucker at 23). I'd also stay away from Dickerson because of injury concerns. Both Dickerson and Davis are fine but there is a lot of value at those positions later like Cleveland, Green and Meinerz. I'd also consider TE with Freiermuth with one of the two's (one added via trade), and maybe a LB like Jabril Cox as the other #2.

Mine as well, but I think the guys I named will contribute as much early on as the guys you mentioned, just picked lower.

Trey Smith is a guy who is everything that you look for in a player. Talented, tough, very mature, no off the field issues and a great teammate. His stock has suffered this year, particularly during the Senior Bowl week and not sure why. I watched him at UT the last couple of years and despite not practicing because of the lung issue, he played pretty well. If that is behind him, he would be a great pick in round 3-4.

he is a late 3rd but with all the interior linemen retiring in the last two weeks his draft stock might bump up a bit...

like I said things are not black and white but one can read between the lines on who they may target and who they will avoid...

also using Joe Douglas's first draft as a scale on where he likes certain position groups throughout the draft not saying it will be identical but you can gather needs to his last draft order, just saying...

Really like Robinson, but if that happens i will wait to see what the Browns do with OBJ . The Draft is full of Talent and tons of speed .
