Trade Down Scenarios

Macc let it be known at the Combine that the Jets are willing to trade down. I doubt we stay at #3 even though I would prefer ER Allen. The Jets will trade down if a good offer comes there way. The Raiders at #4, Giants at #6, maybe the RedSkins at #15. We won't trade in our own division as this leaves Miami out. Is Detroit, Tenn or Denver a possibility?

I don't think the Jets will want to deal with the Giants either. Helping those bastards in the same state and stadium and we have been known as the red-hearted step children for the past 3-4 decades to the Giants. I seriously doubt the Jets will entertain anything from the Giants but business is business. So if the Giants come with a over the moon type trade offer, you can't really blame the Jets for doing it. Same with the Dolphins or Bills. Patriots are the only team I think the Jets will have an off limits type of mentality too.

I would personally love for the Jets to trade with whomever for that over the moon type deal. They need a lot of help still at the oline, pass rusher, cornerback, back up RB and they still need a #1 WR IMO. Preferably a bigger, 50-50 go get it type guy like a K'Neal Harry in the second or late first round will be great. With all this said, I've come to the point of just settling in on the Jets staying at #3 and drafting that edge rusher (whomever that may be).

Mac needs to stay in the top 6. We've needed a pass rusher for two decades and there are two sitting right there and Mac will trade down. I don't trust Mac after the 6th pick. I don't want multiple JAG's. I want a difference maker. If its an RG3 or Ricky Williams type deal then do it. Otherwise stay at 3 or 4.

That's the only way I would want them to do it or just stay at #3. Imagine them drafting a top flight oline men and pass rusher in the mid to late first round and a WR like K'Neal Harry in the second. They then can go corner and a back up RB in the third rounds and later. Obviously they would have to trade with a team that has two or more first round picks this year, like the Giants or Raiders. Yes this is all a pipe dream I mines, I will admit but let me live in it until draft day please. We all know the Jets will not trade down. They will stay at #3 and draft a edge rusher or dline men, so these conversation are mute!!!

The Jets are in the driver’s seat no matter what. They either get a great prospect at a position of need, or get back a boatload of picks to move back.

I’m not worried. It’s all gonna work out.

price is going up, Jets set the market last year from 6 to 3 for the Giants, a minimum 3 2nd rounders, you don’t have two 2’s well # 17 and next years 2 will start the conversation.
Redskins at 15, gonna. Let a 2 Nd, 3rd next years 1 and 2.
