If he plays as well as I believe he can it will take a lot of pressure off the rest of the defense and if Claiborne can up his game a little our backfield should be solid.

The Bowles/Rodgers defense seems to be based on the secondary trying to lock down the passing game, while the d-line’s primary focus is containing the run. At least, that’s what it looks like to me. The Jets have had a void at edge rusher for a long time. I’m starting to wonder if this coaching staff even thinks it’s necessary.

I realize these types of players are hard to find, and rarely are they available in FA, but it sure would be nice to have anyone who can generate some pass rush for this D.

What's all this about EDGE rusher?
I don't care if the guy drops down out of a drone, as long as he can get to the QB before he gets rid of the ball.
