Update: Washington Commanders

I’m a peace , animal loving tree hugger.
My dad served in Korea for 18 months ( not his choice drafted) but of course I respect the soldiers and it kills be to think of all those that died .
I’m not in favor of the name
How is the Commanders better than the Redskins?
I actually think iits worse
But I really don’t give a shit either way .

The name “Redskins” offended many ethnic groups. I wonder if the name “Commanders” does the same ? Sometimes you have to look at something through someone else’s eyes instead of your own . That’s what I’m doing reading this thread and for some odd reason I appear to be missing something.

Derogatory to honest Italian Americans
No one seems to care about that ?

( however my fav movies are The Godfather 1& 2 hated 3

Bur Godforbid some west point grad “commander” sent one of my loved ones up a hill
Into the jungle
Over a mountain
And was killed
I don’t think I could ever forgive that
Commander
And I’m not getting into the debate about our military
I just think killing is not the way
Please no debate
I don’t need to be educated on the what if’s if we didn’t do this or that in past history

You're the wrong kind of ethnic group. I found the Sopranos and Jersey Shore offensive. I never petitioned for them to be taken off the air though.
