so was this an error on Joe Douglas or is this the league f*cking over the Jets?

For what it's worth, I read somewhere recently, yesterday I believe, that he had an unauthorized and undisclosed surgery during the off season and that this had a bearing on what just transpired. May or may not be true. I don't know and don't remember where I read it. If that is in fact the case I am sure the article will resurface soon.

yardbarker story but my point is did Joe Douglas purposely put him on the NFI list to waive his contract? knowing that he could of waited until after the Philly game to put him on the NFI list or short term IR that he can return mid season because now he is done for the season...

Because he was placed on reserve/non-football injury before cutdown to 53, DE Vinny Curry is done for season. Signed a one-year, $1.3M contract ($1.075M fully gtd), underwent undisclosed procedure in offseason. Saleh said at start of camp that Curry w/b back around Wk 2. #Jets
