Week 5 Game Thread: New York Jets @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Let's be honest. When mac was hired we had the least or near least talent in football, overall. That is a6 year rebuild which I think has been shortened to 3 or 4 years. Mac has added some badly needed pieces.

Bowles is not embarrassing,but he is exposed and not ready for the job. If the idea is to let him grow with the team,fair enough.

Fitz was historically good last year, but success depended on the health of every moving part being healthy. He was our best available shot this year and is on a1 year contract.

That leaves us in a decent spot going forward,we have dedicated vets,good drafts, and agm that is capable.

We need a face lift this year and if course aqb.

We need an overhaul..... Kacy Rogers needs to be fired today. And I think the party is over for Gailey. I did see 2 good things today. Marshall played well and #27 (kid signed off the Pats PS) played well. Williams is terrible and Gilchrist needs to be replaced. I did see one very disconcerting thing however. Despite what Bowles is saying, I don't think this CS has any faith in Fitzpatrick. I told my wife at halftime, after we got the ball with 45 sec to go before half and we did nothing, that Bowles has no faith in him and we play not to lose. If that was NE... they would have been gunning it to get into FG range. If they do can Bowles at seasons end, I hope they go after Jim Schwartz. Lest the D will be good

I agree with Rogers... I might be wrong on this one but this defense looks and plays so differently than last year I am beginning to think Rogers is game planning and calling plays on his own. This defense resembles nothing like any Bowles D i have ever watched in his career.. It very much remeinds me of the year Rex said he was turning over the D to Petitine and we dropped in performance and Rex had to take back over. I disagree with Willams. Overall this kid is pretty good. The bomb to Coates I saw coming pre snap..Cause I knew he was one on one with Pryor over the top a And once again you can see Pryor was out of position prior to the snap and lazy in going over to the left side of the field as well as took a terrible angle......Rogers is playing Pryor like Rex did his rookie season.. Deep coverage Big mistake... Pryor needs to be in the box.

We all know Pryor needs to be in the box, but apparently the CS hasn't figured it out yet. Antonio Allen was a decent coverage safety. Why isn't he playing? Our safeties are getting caught with their pants down every week. I'm tired of watching it.

You are right on TB this d I not like the D I saw from him in AZ. Look as was said he needs to grow. We need to give this time. As far as Marshall & fitz they stink
