What are some things that Bowles can improve on heading into his second season?

There's no denying that Bowles had the Jets playing at a high level last year surpassing my expectations. What do you think he can do better in his second year?

I hope that the defense improves. They were stellar at first but near the end of the season didn't play up to far. For the first time in a long time, it was the offense who carried the team. In my opinion, that's kind of disappointing considering the money that was spent on that side of the field.

i would like to see a dramatic improvement in having his team ready to play balls to the wall from the opening whistle.. far to many times we came out flat in the first halves of games & honestly i believe that is the byproduct of bowles belief/approach that no one game is anymore important than another.. the premise itself is fundamentally broken because divisional games head to head records are the first tiebreaker if teams finish with the same record.. conference games mean more tiebreaker wise than non conference games as well..

i've heard bowles speaks to parcells on a regular basis, i would hope this has come up in conversation at some point this off season.. because again, the premise is absolutely fundamentally broken & i firmly believe it had as much to do with us missing the playoffs as any other factors that can be named..

The players are more to blame more than coaches. I've never played a game that a coach made me play flat.

This is most definitely on the right track , however I would add far more often than not the players just seemed to be sleepwalking, like anything Bowles was teaching was going in one ear and out the other. I would also add Mac making better in season acquisitions . Given the weather we were facing in the Buffalo game, Mac should have picked up someone/anyone off the waiver wire that could have helped in short passing catching options. Chris Ivory, but most of all Bilal Powell did not play.Fitz NEEDED more short passing specifically for that game and he did nothing to help out.[

1) team ready to play a full 60 minutes week in week out, 2) Clock Management which wasn't terrible but needs improvement, 3) Stop the mindless challenges -some were just stupid, and 4) pick leaders on O and D and challenge them to provide the kind of leadership this team has lacked for years....

It would help if Offensive Cord. wouldnt run the same plays against Rex's Defense. Rex Defense was looking for those & got lots of INT's because of it.

Bowles did fine ,but needs more speed at LBer & Safety. Offense I think we are fine but needs to get younger on O Line & need to find out who is the QB (Ilike Petty) & get a TE.
