Why do the Johnsons own this team?

I don’t get why the Johnsons own this team? Neither Woody or his brother really seem like football guys. I seriously doubt either ever played the game at any level, they don’t understand the game conceptually, and J&J makes more money in a day than this team does in a year. Is it an ego thing? Do they not realize they are viewed as laughing stocks? They aren’t dynamic, progressive, or innovated, so why own the damn thing??? This may be a dumbass thread, but I’m frustrated with this whole organization and don’t understand the dynamics of why this team cant get any better

Woody Johnson is a trust fund baby that owns his grand father's company employs his younger brother as the companies COO, but with Woody living his dream as President Donald Trump's Ambassador in England he turned over reigns to his younger brother of 20 years who like Woody is nothing more than a fan of football, albeit the Jets...

People have been duping them left and right on how to run this organization because they are ignorant football fans they are being taken advantage of...

They had the GM but the hiring of Adam Gase who then forced Maccagnan out as GM then was given equal power to the new hire his friend Joe Douglas...

Problems will continue because to have a GM & HC with equal power and both report to the acting owner will only get worse as time moves on...

the acting CEO has gone on record stating Adam Gase is a "Brilliant Offensive Mind" there is no telling how long this bullshit relationship can continue but one thing for Gase he can use the Mono last year and the Covid this year as built in excuses to possibly keep his job throughout next season...

They are actually both fans and love the team.
The franchise is also a printing press which prints hundreds of millions a year for them which they love even more..

I don't understand ...everything you said makes them perfect for the Jets . Woody like his toy until he got bored & decided to play queen for a day or night in this case. His younger brother came in when woody left & started playing with his toys. I hope there is not a third brother.

Look if Kim Jong-un buys the team I Guarantee heads will roll, There will be no long term contracts, & the jets will take off like a rocket. If we don't win a SB the first year he will take it. No fat cats will play for this team as he will whip them into shape.
