It’s the timing of it all. This man handles your entire off season pretty much and you fired him after that??? It’s just the timing of it all that makes this so crazy. I’m still stunned by this pretty much.

I once again I will say that I’m not in mourning over this but I’m not crying tears of joy either. Mac was a pretty decent GM IMO and the Jets better get this right because if they don’t they will regret this for years to come.

Oh yeah,ESPN comments Jets a Clown sow and hiring a GM based on skin color. The only Clown show here is ESPN where they Flip Flop on every single story and all racism is the reason for anything in hiring in Sports. No Real Fan sees any color in sports except their Teams color. Teams want to hire the Best Players and Best Coaches and Best Management and thats has nothing to do with Color of skin. It has everything of getting the best for the Job hired for. Silly to think they hire Players and Management based skin color being white, black, green or purple in today work force. ESPN put your race baiting somewhere else trying to make race stories out of nothing except your personal race hate agendas maybe? Jets will hire a GM being the Best at doing the Job and not skin color as ESPN trying to make it sound. It Makes ESPN look like a Clown Show everytime I go there. Who is freaking out besides the Media? Look, anyone who thought Mikey as GM did a fantastic job Drafting and buying Players have a right to be upset. Everyone who knew Mikey was Horrible at Drafts and Free Agency should be glad. Media has said for years about how poor our GM done in Drafts and ESPN even laughing at our GM about Vikes LB staying. So now the Extra -Sensitive puss -Net work is upset Jets fired their poor GM? HUH? Only 1 bad thing was happening here and that was not firing him with Bowles. I think the reason is Johnson was worried about not knowing enough Football People and kept our GM to help him. Now after Gase showed Johnson how inept Mikey was it was easier to make the decision to let the GM go. So Im happy he is gone even though I dislike anyone being fired but he couldnt do the Job right. Gase pissed me off about opinions on overpaying LB-RB. Gase as a Coach needs to keep his comments on paying players to himself. Gase has to have Players to have his back and play hard and Players with Big Contracts guaranteed dont have to play hard IF they dont want to as we have seen from CB Johnson last season. So Gase nneds to Shut it on Paying Players,. Yeah its too late and Yeah Mikey screwed up in Draft and Free Agency and yeah GM embarrassed Jets again being used to get more money from other teams by Vikes QB-LB and Suh, but its over I hope. Now get a Center and pass rusher that Mikey should have Addressed in Draft and Free Agency. LB Allen gets more sacks then Williams against Pats. No DT-DE gets through the middle of Pats O Line to sack Brady in 2o years and Mikeys Dumb ideas and continued drafting DT and DE with 1st pick was silly. Texans JJ Watt gets it off the edge not the power house middl;e.

Gase wanted control, so he annihilated mac. And to make himself look vindicated, the first move he made was a bad one. Trading Lee for a6th round pick is a joke. We could have used him at his cheap salary. Gase just hurt the jets, to be spiteful.

Now gase is putting out crumbs to the media about not wanting bell or CJ moseley. Well great, how do think that makes the players feel? Like they want to play their hearts out?

How about our defensive coordinator? Greg Williams was a mac hire through and through. Where do you think he stands?
What do you think this great defensive unit is thinking?

They're thinking, am I next? Do you think players will bleed jets green, and want to be here with this head coach behaving this way? This whole team is now poison.

And this is why the GM controls the coach, not the incompetent Johnson family.
