So you are advocating for them to bring in or keep older veterans so they could be a few wins better? You'd rather they be a little less bad and not have the top pick to get an elite QB? I'm glad they went with their plan.

You make that sound so bad? Eric Decker is a GREAT guy and someone who can still contribute to this football team. David Harris is a GREAT guy and someone who can still contribute to this football team. The results of Sunday's game would have been different if Decker and Harris were still on this team. All I can say is this reset BS had better work? The Jets will have an 80 million war chest and a number 1 pick and all. They will be able to spend big time on whoever they like. BUT, they also need EVERYTHING and not just on offense and special teams. They need linebackers because Mac sucks at selecting them. They need OL because Mac doesn't give a shit about the OL. They need corners because Mac almost never selects them. They need QB's because Mac sucks at selecting them. Did I mention TE yet?

This ALL boils down to next season for Mac if it doesn't at the end of this season? Mac could quite possibly (I figure) last another season? If he does, he WILL be judged 100% mind you on the 2017 and 2018 draft and his FA moves. He gets mulligan for 2015 and 2016. WHY I will never know.......

I know it's unbearable right now, but that's part of the deal. I'd rather be terrible right now if it gets us closer to good or great down the road rather than being kinda bad now, with no future.

The roster is young. Some of the young guys aren't going to cut it. But if they had veterans ahead of them keeping them from playing, we'd never know.

I'm being sincere here. This isn't me playing devil's advocate. I actually like the direction of the franchise, even if it means bottoming out with a bunch of kids. I'd rather be 0-16 and see which kids are players than be 7-9 and have had older veterans help us get those 7 wins and that 12th pick.
