I think he's great but he may have some character issues.
i've read rosen at the very least, is borderline cocky.. speaks his mind quite freely & is supposed to be extremely bright..Maybe. We'll see. Hopefully he'll be fine.

the some what concerning part for some scouts is the kid has a lot of interests outside of football.. so much so, some scouts question if he has a real love for football, or is it something he does because he so happens to be great at it??
me?? if rosen keeps lighting it up, i would have no issues with us drafting him..
unless of course, there's another 300 pound DE/DT available.. we can never have to many of those on the roster.....
nny
i get the feeling, for whatever reason, playing under the bright lights of NYC & being the first guy since namath to win a jet super bowl would be appealing to this kid..HA.... I have no problem with him speaking his mind, whether it be on politics or other schools like of academic requirements... The other interests other than football might be the big issue.. But you know people said the same thing about Namath and well Johnny Manziel .... so it's a crap shoot! Hopefully he gets his head on straight when it comes to his focus and dedication to football.

LOLz but what the hell do I know..
LOLz but of course, our head coach is doing everything in his power to not let us find out what we have in petty or hackenberg..I agree... Something tells me too this kid was built for NYC
i would hope most/all here wouldn't want a ballplayer passed up because of mainstream political views..I have been a Jets fan since they were the Titans of New York in the days of the AFL, a Viet Nam era Army vet (1965-1967) and am a Democrat. And the only one of those things that makes any difference on this board should be that I am a Jets fan. Anything other than stuff about the team should be kept off this board. And I'm glad the moderators have kept this thread that way since yesterday.

now that i think about it, i wonder how the US ambassador to britain feels about it??
one that could define the franchise going forward for the next 10+ years..VERY interesting question, isn't it?

Right on. Honestly and truly I hope these find of factors don't even cross through Woody's mind? Like you say, he'd be an idiot to turn down a talent of Rosen's caliber because he doesn't like what he stands for? All in all, I would think could be handled behind closed doors. But Rosen's been caught wearing "Fuck Trump" hats to golf events. So once again, where does Woody stand with the president or anyone else for that matter if he decides to take Rosen? It is an interesting question.
But a part of me thinks it may not matter. Baker Mayfield looked like MONEY on Saturday. Far BETTER than Josh Rosen as it didn't take Mayfield 3 quarters to get his act together. he hit the ground running. Now comes the ultimate test of how good Mayfield can be as he faces Ohio St. this weekend?
Maine, I am glad you brought up Baker Mayfield.... Why? Cause going into this college season there are maybe 6 other guys not being talked about as 1st round picks that I like and Bake Mayfield is one of them. And I feel like a couple of these guys might jump into Round 1 as well.
