CB BUSTER SKRINE, 27.1 OVERALL GRADE

Skrine struggled throughout the day, with a number of penalties and he gave up plenty of big plays down the field. Overall he was targeted 7 times, giving up 7 catches for 119 yards 3 touchdowns and a perfect passer rating of 158.3 in coverage. Skrine was beaten for touchdowns on the final two scores for the Dolphins.

This is arguably the most disgusting form from any defender in Jets history... How can we even think to keep him on this roster moving forward he just doesn't fit within this scheme... He can not play press coverage, he stinks in off man coverage especially when his back is to the opposing quarterback... Penalties alone were atrocious, but to give a perfect passer rating and to be the culprit that couldn't stop a nose bleed even if he knew it was coming is unforgettable...

Trade deadline is approaching and have to believe if one player should be on the departure list is this guy, teams with a zone presence may take a flyer on him... He does well when facing the quarterback but is a problem when he has to play the receiver...

not to mention the fact that he was lit up by two pretty mediocre QBs.:global (8):

As you all know i was against his pickup from the start...get rid of him now & you can save a stamp on the Christmas Card list

I haven't checked but I'd be willing to guess that Skrine was responsible for most of the Jet's stupid penalties.

he was a flag machine with the browns and it hasn't changed here. I never understood them moving him out of the slot where he is marginally successful. Last game was a snapshot of this bums abilities or lack thereof ...

IMHO he is another guy that needs to hit the road and ride the pine for a game or two... but wait TB will keep playing him...remember Fitzs 6 INTS, enough said.

He apparently got the concussion after the Miami game, in the locker room, where half the team kicked his ass for costing the Jets the game.:67_g:

Ha, Ha, That would be my guess too. Right now he is listed as out for the game and that doesn't hurt my feelings much.
