You pointed out how brady rips into the officials all the time.Well here's the difference between peyton Manning and tom brady. I read a story a not so long ago written by a ref. Don't remember his name. He said during a Broncos game he made a call that Peyton didn't like. Peyton went over and complained. Lit into him a little. the ref said to Peyton "Come on Peyton, you're better than that. You don't ever act that way." A few days later, the ref gets a phone call from Peyton apologizing for the way he acted. Peyton may have stayed in school an extra year so as not to be drafted by the Jets but he is still a darn good guy. That one example where you could say "Peyton Manning is no tom brady"

I would hope that you are correct here but I think belichick has such an ego that he'll need to prove that he can win without brady. If you want a good example of his arrogance just look at last years superbowl. he was so sure he could win that he spotted Atlanta a 28-3 lead before he started looking at the Falcons playbook

It may cost a lot but I think we should do it if the opportunity is there but I am ok with sitting tight and taking Mayfield at 14, if that's where we end up... though I think we still wind up somewhere in the top 10

But if we are gonna trade up from lets say 10 to 2... I think it would cost our 1st,2nd, 5th this year and 2nd and 3rd next year....

Jets hasnt figured out how to Draft QB since 1965 Namath and nothing today makes me think Jets are any different today. How many good QB's Jets passed on with the last 2 GM's? Even if Jets traded up I have very little confidence in their judgement drafting a QB and teaching the right QB of Jets future. Far as Cousins, he has proved he is for real QB gambling on himself and won. Redskins are like the Jets when it comes to QB's and have no clue of what they have even if it slaps them in the face. Cousins will no way sign to Redskins after the crap they pulled on him. He could go to 49ers also who might trade their pick and if G. doesnt work. Call me crazy and it may sound strange. I think this season will go down as one that hurt the jets for the next decade. Unless we some how find a qb through a trade or something, McCown figuring it out is something that will hurt us in the long run.

HAHAH yoeah you are so crazy going out on a limb and saying if the Jets keep winning this season is gonna hurt them as they miss out on 1 of the top 3 maybe even 4 QB's in this draft......

Not a stretch my friend but there are a lot of options this off season.

Lamar Jackson I think between 5-10 will be there for us if we are in any one of those positions.. We can trade up and I am ok with that. As well as I like several mid 1st rd and even a coupld of 2nd rd QB's.... This class is deep. In my opinion if Baker Mayfield is there at 10-15 we need to take him and call it a day and yes I know most see him as a 2nd RD guy... He's not IMO

But with that said

One of the things this team is learning is that chemistry is incredibly important - in the locker room and on the field. McCown is team-first guy, natural leader, great in the clubhouse. And everybody knew that Watson was the same way. Great kid, and the pedigree of a winner. Geno Smith, had issues and it didn't work out. My point is - when we start looking at these QBs, character should be at the top of the list. Guys the are half-interested in playing the position, in it for the money, or likely to be distractions off the field are not players the Jets should be pursuing in the draft.

I don't know much about the "character" of these college QBs, only rumors. Rosen it's said is abrasive and arrogant. Maybe, maybe not. Baker Mayfield, an immature partier. Some evidence of that. (We don't need Manziel on the roster). Darnold is supposed to be a high character kid, if he comes out and will probably go number 1, though I'm not sure he's a slam dunk to enter the draft or to be successful. The other QBs I haven't heard much about...any thoughts from anyone on the board on the character of these guys, like Jackson, like Falk and so on.

Yup, McCown playing well is a bad thing just like when Fitzpatrick did it. It means next season we'll pay him big bucks instead of drafting the future. I hate to say that because McCown seems like a good dude. I just don't think the rest of the team will be ready for the superbowl while he is still around anyway so we are just wasting time.

Again, they were not going to pay him $50 mill to sit in the bench behind Brady for 2 more years. They are on the bye so had time to sign a backup.
As for your assessment of their O line, they are ranked 27 the in pass protection on the season and have given up the 3 Rd most pressures of any team in the league. The Jets o line ranks well ahead of NEs.

So I'm trying to watch the jet game but here in ct. CBS is messed up so I have missed a lot of it. What I have seen is mccown getting killed. If the cheetahs oline is worse then the Jets oline then Brady should be out for the season. I'm gonna pm you my home phone number.
