if the team can't trust him and let him throw it when down 23-0 in the fourth quarter, he should not be on this team and the person who drafted him should be relieved of his duties immediately. The person keeping this fool on this team should be relieved immediately of his duties.

He's getting his shot and blowing it.

It sucks because we really need him or Hack to show some improvement, but so far he's spitting the bit.

Lets wait until next week to see if he is blowing it. The whole team sucked. Dropped passes, bad OL.

Agree, I would really like to know how many reps he has had with the 1st team this year, he look unprepared...and that goes to OC and his coaches.

Missing two wide open receivers, one on a 4th and 3, is bad. I don't care how many reps he had or didn't have in practice. If you cant throw the ball 15 yards to a wide open receiver then you do not belong in the NFL.period.
McCown will be out the remainder, no reason to play him at 4-8 with a broken hand.
This is going to be Pettys audition for his NFL career.

I don’t Petty is capable of grabbing this opportunity and job. Never did, not since last years showing anyway. I was hoping Hack would do it at the beginning of the season but seriously doubt that now as well. I’m just glad we’ll get a chance finally to see them both this season and then it will be confirmed, draft a QB in the first round.

I don't know if either of them can be the answer, but they better actually try to find out. If they just run the ball every time then I may be done as a fan until the entire front office and coaching staff is gone.

There's nothing to blow Ham? The CS already knows Petty and hack SUCK. The CS already knows these QB's have never learned to be better than their college days? Petty and Hack are NOT the future. The future of the NYJ at QB is not currently on the roster..........

Hack is a bigger issue to me than Petty. Higher pick, and he still can't find a way to get a shot. It is just ridiculously frustrating that this franchise cannot ever hit on a franchise QB in the draft. Trading up for a first (Sanchez), using a second (Geno, Hack, Clemens), mid-round (Petty). You can replace front offices (Tanny, Idzik, Mac), coaching staffs, everything, and the guys they take are just never the guy.

I'd chalk it up to bad scouting, but when it's multiple front offices, some of it is simply bad luck. It's hitting the lottery. Hell, even the one time the Jets hit on a guy who showed franchise QB promise, he gets banged up like crazy (Pennington).

AGREED. Especially on the hitting the lottery part. Let me ask you Sack............

Do you think Bill Beillichick knew when he picked Tom Brady in the 6th round what he was getting?
