I know I will get flak for this but I feel a fair to good FA pick up would be the RB from Cinn, Jeremy Hill. He had 1 good year and still may have something left in the tank. He's young (25) and should be pretty cheap. Some feel Carlos Hyde would be a good addition. I believe this would be a mistake.

I wouldn’t object to either one. Both are young and have showed flashes of greatness. We have a boatload of money that needs to be spent. We can afford it, and RB is a position of need.

If the Jets pull an upset and land Cousins, they take Quenton Nelson at 6. Sign me up.

If they land Cousins, they will take either an OL in Nelson, a RB in Barkley (should he fall), a CB that they need in Fitzpatrick, or an edge rusher in Chubb, possibly their four biggest needs.

I'd bet the Jets sign Richberg (C) today.

Also if they want to re-sign Claiborne they better do it fast. When T Johnson signs I'd bet he gets big money and Claiborne will want a similar contract.

Richburg or Jansen will happen early. As for CB, if Claiborne moves on, I could see them putting on a push for Trumaine Johnson.

All this money and we either can't get players or they are too caught up in Cousins. Its the Jets so I'm not sure why I should expect a different result.

This is where your patience is tested as a Jet fan. Especially, when Mac comes out and says we will be aggressive as soon as the clock starts and we have the most money. Perhaps Mac has been hanging out with Sandy Alderson and will wait for the B-player bargains to pop up down the road.

Looks like Cousins is having dinner with the Vikings tonight. I bet he never leaves the building. Still not sure how I feel about that..

I'm not devastated about not getting Cousins. He would have given the Jets the flexibility in the draft. I don't think he is great QB though. We have to stack our defense at this point in FA.

He is in the right age bracket and his 2016 year shows that he can play, or at least could back then.

Other players on our radar: Trumaine Johnson, EJ Gaines, Avery Williamson, not to mention Ryan Jensen and possibly two former Miami Dolphins Suh, and James...

Frivolously spending doesn't mean just give it away like Minnesota giving a full gtd. contract...

The good part about that is that every one of those guys, except Suh, are 26 or younger. For an organization building for the long haul, that is how you approach free agency.
