Really? ??? That's shocking. Our offense was so bad this season that I'm not sure him possibly leaving would be a bad thing? Maybe he wants to build his resume with an already built, but underachieving offense.
But honestly with Morton as OC there were times that I'd get so angry with the play calling. Like those 3 straight running plays to start the game yesterday. Or the constant holding penalties. The very second our offense committed a single penalty you knew that drive would end in a punt.
So honestly if by some chance he leaves? I'd be fine with it.
Changes might be on the horizon for the Jets after all.
The Daily News has learned that Jon Gruden is expected to be interested in hiring offensive coordinator John Morton if/when he gets the Oakland Raiders job.
The Raiders fired Jack Del Rio on Sunday, presumably clearing the way for Gruden, who would like Morton on his staff.
Morton previously worked with Gruden and considers him a mentor. The Jets would not stand in the way of a Gruden-Morton reunion, per sources.
