Well he did keep saying his name which shows his desperation for a QB.
I bet they call it the same thing in OK.
You might get your wish.
I like Jackson more than most and wouldn't hesitate to take him, and I wish Mayfield was bigger, but I've had a change of heart, if both guys are there at 6, I'd take Mayfield over Jackson.

But you know this really isn't proving much if Mayfield leads them to victory in the last second? Georgia's defense SUCKS.
I don't think GA defense sucks, but I also don't think winning this game means he is a franchise NFL QB.

You're not gonna get that from 99% of college QB prospects. There are very few CAN'T MISS, no brainers like Elway.
Most young guys have some flaws you need to work out, you gotta take a risk, you can't just wait for the perfect QB prospect to fall into your lap.

Its a false choice because I don't view Mayfield or Jackson as "highly flawed", especially Mayfield,, just not perfect, and I don't see any perfect, can't miss LT's either.
So if I'm taking a risk, I'd rather take a risk on a potential FQB

Selfishly as a Jets fans I'm glad Oklahoma lost and Mayfield didn't have another chance to drop 50 on Bama or Clemson in the national title game too.
If you want the Jets to at least have the option of drafting Mayfield at #6, its a good thing that his season ended tonight, albeit in a valiant effort.
