How QB changes will alter the draft: Sam Bradford to the Jets?

SB Nation -- The Jets are projected to have the fourth-most salary cap space this offseason, according to Over The Cap. Let’s assume they spend a good chunk of that on a quarterback like Bradford. His health history makes him a risk, but he could stop a team from taking a quarterback in the first round. The Jets should also be in play for Cousins if he’s available.

With this move in mind, here’s this week’s mock draft selection for the Jets:

6. New York Jets: Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State

If the Jets hand out a big quarterback contract this offseason, the focus in the first round could shift. This may seem early for Ward, but he had an All-American season and other than his size he doesn’t have many flaws:

Hell NO!! He can't even make it through more than two games before he is sidelined just from swelling and no injury.

He's more injury prone than guess who almost made it through the season this time for us, I think we'd be better off keeping McCown instead if that's the best we can get for our money.

Cousins, maybe Bridgewater change the draft, I'd sooner resign McCown then pay Bradford. Both are injury prone and we will still need to draft a QB with either as a starter.

Right. Bradford liable to hurt himself just walking onto the field.

Bradford is shot, his injuries are all wear and tear related. What you see is what you'll have

can we get bradford in a one year prove you can play contract? if so, at some number like 10 million, I would take him - but still look for a QB in the draft

Bradford can't last the season. Probably wouldn't last 4 games, then what do you do for a QB ? Signing him to any kind of deal would be a total waste.

If Mac started off the off season by signing Bradford and drafting Ward, I would be merely waiting until he gets shitcanned. BOTH of those moves are fireable offenses. By signing Bradford Mac could guarantee the Jets a seat in forever mediocrity. He would also be wasting yet another perfectly good 1st round choice on something other than the very most dire need I think the Jets organization has ever had. It would be like drafting Darron Lee all over again.

If he made those moves, Woody should fire his pathetic, useless ass while they are still at the draft.
