Jets star Robby Anderson arrested in Florida again


Jets receiver Robby Anderson was arrested for a second time in Florida on Friday morning, a Miami radio station reported.

According to the report, the most serious of nine charges against Anderson are: harm to a public servant/family, reckless driving, eluding police, and resisting arrest. Anderson’s specific actions that led to the arrest are unclear at the moment, but the Broward County Sheriff’s Department has the charges listed on their website.

“We are aware of the situation. This is a pending legal matter and we will have no further comment,” a Jets spokesman said in a statement.

Anderson, 24, emerged as a star for the Jets this season, catching 63 passes for 941 yards and seven touchdowns.

Why is it that when we get a guy that can really play he can't keep his darn nose clean. The front office needs to lean on this kid heavily and straighten him out before he becomes a liability and we have to dump him.

I assume he is going to face a suspension with this being his second arrest in less than a year. The first one was questionable. This one not as much. Appears he led the police on a chase this time. Plus he had a a strange string of tweets just prior.
I expect more will be released about this in the next few hours.
Probably should add WR to our off season priorities.

The terrible thing is that he has the skill to eventually become a #1 and he is risking throwing that opportunity away. If he keeps it up he won't even have any trade value because teams don't want to deal with that off field drama anymore. It's counter productive.

In May at the ultra music festival in Miami. Fighting security and then resisting arrest.

Anderson was going 105 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone. After he ran two red lights and finally stopped, Anderson allegedly threatened to find and sexually assault the arresting officer’s wife.

Anderson allegedly told the arresting officer he was going to find his wife, “f–k her and n-t in her eye.”

I think he's looking at a lengthy suspension. Kid just doesn't get it.
It's too damn common. Have the opportunity to make millions of dollars and can't keep their heads straight......
It's freaking sad!

At the very least. He had better get his act together quick. I can't believe the even the Jets, who are more forgiving then most, will put up with his childish and disrespectful attitude for long.

He's our best Reciever on his rookie deal. He's safe for now...

I thought this might be the first year we went into the season without someone being suspended. FFS... Just hasn't grown up yet.
