I heard it will be called the "NCL" no cheetah League

So 2 more cheetah superbowl victories or 3? before we get to watch a cheetah free league. As long as belichick lives the NFL will suck. eventually even the cheetah fans will tire of winning every single game. I honestly think the NFL has already told the cheatahs to hold back until the 4th quarter so these games are more exciting. What other reason could there be for teams kicking cheetah ass for 50 minutes and then suddenly everything that worked all game doesn't work at all ... either that or belichick doesn't pull out the other teams playbook until the last 10 minutes just so he has a challenge.

either way, I'm actually excited for a cheetah free football league. It's what I've been asking for for years...and pretty sure Vince McMahon wants to see one too. Why else would he try this again? Tax write off or cheetah free football? No other reason

"He hate Me" will change his name to "He Hate Cheatahs"

Maybe all the NFL teams will jump ship to this league and leave the cheatahs alone in the NFL

I think the talent is so watered down now that even if they get 10% of the NFL players it will hurt. but it would be great to see the new rules they come up with.

My rules would be

1) Wide field (ok not new)
2) FG's over 50 yards would be 4 points.
3) No TV reviews
4) Intentional grounding is everywhere not just outside the lines.
5) Holding (o) would go back to 15 yards
6) Holding (d) would be 10 yards
7) Player thrown out of a game would cost you a point

Other
1) No Psl's
2) Tailgating 6 hours before the game or overnight not just five hours before.
3) Special Tailgating parking areas with water & power.
4) Reserved tailgating spots for registered groups.
5) Climate Controlled restrooms not those dirty phone booths they have now in the parking lots.
5) Bring back the marching bands for halftime (Ok I am old LOL)
6) Meetings with fans three times a year on rule changes & stadium rule changes.
7) All games played during the day not the night.
8) good food & beer(cheaterhater will be in charge of selection) at fair prices

I give the league 2 seasons at most. Honestly, it may not even have a second season.
The no players with any arrest , criminality rule will water down an all ready limited player pool. DUI, arrested for pot in college charged but not convicted, can't play in the league. It will be on par with highshool level talent. NCAA, NFL, CFL even the IFL will have more talent and put a better product on the field.
8 teams, one owner , salary dependent on w-l record. I can't imagine any player with talent going there.
Guys who aren't drafted , can't get a shot in the CFL or IFL are not going to draw fans to the stadium.
The only thing that may come out of it will be some new innovative camera angles that the NFL will start using like the last time the XFL Flopped.

You try a long field goal because you weren't good enough to get close enough for a short field goal or a TD, why should you get extra reward? There is also the farcical situation where a team might deliberately lose yardage to make their FG attempt longer.
I thought TV review was fine when it was limited to Coaches Challenge. Change it back but let them use their allotted challenges even if they have no time outs (give them a delay penalty if they lose the challenge). ANYTHING should be challengeable, the evidence has to be incontrovertible.

My own choices:

Less time in ad breaks, even if it means less TV money.
Go back to the old OT rules, now the Colts don't have Peyton they shouldn't mind.
Go back to the old extra point or just make a TD 7 points. The two point conversion is always used to tie the game or bring the tie in order and then they complain that OT is unfair. There is no logical reason why the defense should be able to score off your conversion of your TD. The 'long' extra point just makes it a crapshoot as to whether a TD is worth 6 or 7 points.

Yes folks, the game was much better when I started to follow it, in the days of Gastineau and Freeman.

I agree with that. on the long FG you if you lose yardage on purpose & miss you will be in trouble. So take the three & be safe but at the end of the game it opens up the chance to tie or win.

IMO no review

As far as the "the evidence has to be incontrovertible". In almost never is as the TV experts & the ny experts disagree many times

So if all the players are roughly equal in talent then the games should still be good. Think of it as the NFL without the cheetahs.

One rule that is a must. NO CHEATING! Any genius who breaks this rule and then uses "I didn't understand the rule" as his excuse will have his balls deflated and immediately be sent to the NFL

I think people need to give Vince more credit than he’s getting. The league I think will be a hit bc he sees opportunity. I don’t know if it’s the link that I shared in the opening post but I read that he isn’t really going for tv, so many other options exist now to get your product in front of people and he will be able to monetize it. He’s also saying that he will bring different camera angles so the views will be unique. He’s a creative genius.

The first season died bc it wasn’t getting the ratings that they thought they’d get and NBC bailed. Sometimes it takes a while for a product to find its groove. If they can find a partner who is willing to give them a few years no matter what, then I think it can be successful.

Onmy drawback I see here is that he’s really targeting the conservative fan. Trump is his friend, in fact, his wife works in his administration so I don’t see this staying out of politics like he claims. Whenever Trump tweets against the NFL, I can see people claiming it’s him promoting the XFL and that can hurt the legitimacy. We shall see
