That's pretty much every QB in the league. Brady is probably the only QB who doesn't seem to skip a beat when his best weapons go down.
As long as McCown, Petty, Hack, Mayfield or Bradford aren't QB's of the Jets then I will be happy.

I don't see the Jets having a chance. I think he goes to Broncos.
Is Washington ready to win now? But i guess old "Mr Smith is going to Washington":global (11):
So good QBs cost $
Smith gets a four-year, $94 million contract extension with $71 million guaranteed.
Cousins isn't a bum or a washed up retread.
He's in his prime and ready now. Top passing stats the last 3 years , how could you not want the guy ?
Id be very dissatisfied if the Jets don't spend and go after him
But Ofcourse these are the Jets :global (11):so I really don't expect it to happen
He is not a bum, but he could be mediocre if not in the perfect spot. Not sure the Jets are close to what Cousins needs to be successful. I've watched a few games that he has been amazing and way more games that he has been average to bad especially in primetime games. Not worth the money he will get, but Jets and Browns are desperate to be relevant. He could succeed with Jags or Vikings because they have dominant defenses so he doesn't have to be great. Jets and Browns ceiling is barely a wildcard and more than likely a lot of 8-8 seasons.
You make some sense here TebowCan'tThrow. It's safe to say that the Jets offense might not be in the best shape to give him what he needs to be successful. On the other hand if we bring him in we will be able to bring in the players we need to give him that supporting cast that he needs because we won't need to spend our top picks on a QB. He has said publicly a couple of times that he would like to play in the NY limelight .He likes Bates. He was probably talking about the NY Giants though and until their recent head coach change were also in the market for a QB. Shurmer however seems content to run with Eli for the present. Maybe he thinks a rebuilding, young, hard working team gives him a chance at finally taking that next step that has been unreachable to him so far. Stranger things have happened. It's a matter, I think, of how much the Jets are willing to pay and will the Skins try to take the team choice away from him by using the tag again which would be just out of spite because they know he wants to leave.

I can't see Washington trying to tag him to control where he goes. The risk is too great. They would be stuck paying him and Smith a combined $63.5 million . No team will give up 2 first round picks and $34.5 million for a one year rental. That would set Washington so far back they likely wouldn't sniff the playoffs for years. I'd feel bad for Smith though.
He did just make very similar comments about the NY media, playing in a big market, liking Bates and hearing very good things about him from people he trusts , more concerned with the future than winning now just a day or two ago at the Super Bowl media event.
I think he is keeping his options open and his wallet open even more.
Yep, kinda like I see it too. Tagging him would only be spiteful as I said and ridiculously expensive for them. Some people believe that Washington doesn't want him but it's actually the other way around. The odds makers say that the Jets are his most likely landing spot but the Vikings already have a winning team and that is something that appeals to him as well.
Bye your#8 jersey now. Lol
Bovada has the odds at:
Jets 8/5
Denver 7/4
Cousins has said many times in his career how much he loves Shanahan's O. Shanahan just said what a brilliant person Bates is. Cousins just said almost the exact same thing, he had heard about Bates. Bet he's talking to Shanahan. He also said that it was more than money. He wants to play in a system he likes with smart coaches.
Jets are installing Shanahan's system. Don't think that's an accident.
Expect an offer in the area of 6 years...$150M....$90m guaranteed.....Heavy front loaded

Hey don't forget the Cardinals...They won it all in 47:global (10): I still say 30% chance Cousins lands on one of my teams
