I know Miami was asking a 3 rd or 4th for Landry.

Possibly. The Browns haven’t been mentioned as one of the final four teams for Cousins, but you never know. ‘‘Tis the season of smokescreens and lies from agents and media trying to create storylines.
But there’s no doubt that Cleveland will land a pretty good QB in this draft, at the very least. They need to get him some weapons, and Landry is highly productive. Good trade for them if all they gave up was a few middle round picks. Usually a tagged player of this caliber nets a 1st or 2nd round pick.

Sure looks that way. I don’t think Nathan Peterman is the answer. I’ll bet the Bills are gonna try to move up past the Broncos and Jets for a QB.
If we lose out on Cousins, and then get jumped by the Bills for a QB... oh man I can’t even stomach it.

Salary related? Maybe they just didn’t want to pay him? I don’t know why teams unload very good players for measly 4th and 7th round picks. The Dolphins got very little in return for a good player.

Exactly why. The Fins are in Cap hell and had to trade him. Even after moving him, they are close to $4 million over the cap so they still have to free up at least $10-11 more to get under and sign draft picks.
They gambled that Parker would supplant Landry and didn't negotiate a long term deal earlier so they had no choice now but to let him walk or trade him.

The Bills are also freeing up cap space. Could they make a run at Cousins? They have 2picks in round 1,2,&3 and a likely trade partner in the Browns so a trade up to 4 or even 1 is very possible.
I don't see the Jets standing still. Honestly, I think the most likely moves are either:
1. Sign McCarron and draft a QB in a later round (Rudolph in the second?), or
2. Trade for Foles.
Cousins would want a mint from the Jets, and want them to overpay.

with the trade of Landry the Dolphins are $7,896,828 under cap, expect them to restructure one or two contacts to free up more cash... this is Tanny he knows how to finagle contract terms... if they do indeed part ways with Suh they will have just under $25 M to play with...
Remember the trade for Robert Quinn isn't on the books. So add $11.5 million .
Suh has over 22 million dead money so cutting him doesn't save much this year, a June 1St. designation drops it to around $9 mill in dead money. That would leave them around $20 million but would also keepp them out of the earlier FA market.

either way I don't give a shit about whether the Dolphins will be able to stay under the cap or be involved in FA... lol just wondering when we will here something exciting for our long ass rebuild to start taking shape...

Sack, I don't think the Jets are going to trade for Foles. Philly wants too much for him. McCarron - maybe. I'm not a fan personally. The rumors are he is Jay Cutler type. He's ok, middle of the pack guy. I think I'd prefer Keenam over him. I think it's clear that the Jets need to go make sure they get the guy they want in the draft if we lose out on Cousins, which I think we will.
