That’s awfully steep so maybe they don’t do that
I look it at like this:
1. Cleveland Browns -- Josh Allen
(Tyrod Taylor bridge QB that will allow the Browns to develop someone with all the tools)
2. New York Giants -- Saquon Barkley
(the deal is if Barkley falls from first Giants believe having that run game will allow Manning to extend his career by 3 to 5 years)
3. Indianapolis Colts (Trade) Buffalo Bills -- Baker Mayfield
(fits perfectly in what Bills want to do on offense)
cost may not be steep maybe Colts willing to take 2 1st '18 and 1st & 2nd '19
4. Cleveland Browns -- DB Minkah Fizpatrick could use that hybrid defensive back to play in the slot and step out into center field
5. Denver Broncos -- Josh Rosen
(John Elway won't pass up on Rosen who is more accurate then any QB on his roster and can start day one)
6. New York Jets (Trade) Arizona Cardinals -- Sam Darnold
(Jets lose out on Cousins but turn to plan B where they could be in the sweepstakes to get Rudolph or Jackson with additional picks)
Darnold won't fair well on the east coast.
with the Jets moving back to 15 still have the option to get a player like WR Calvin Ridley, Alabama, NT Vita Vea, Washington, ER Marcus Davenport UTSA, MLB Roquon Smith, UGA or OG Willy Hernandez, UTEP
acquiring in that trade down we could receiver 2 2nd Rd Picks (1 in '18 & 1 in '19) including a 5th in '18.
this would give us fire power to move up or stand pat in the 2nd round with three picks to make things happen.
1 2nd could be used on RB Sony Michel or Rashaad Penny
1 2nd could be used on QB Lamar Jackson or Mason Rudolph
1 2nd could be used on CB Quenton Meeks or Isaiah Oliver
other options could be the dropped stock of OG/OC Billy Price from OSU or TE Hayden Hurst from South Carolina
There are a lot of scenarios especially right now pre free agency but right now this could be a solid scenario that works for us in many ways...
I don't think three rich kids that like the game of football but clearly don't need it would make good franchise options for us. Opening the door for a kid like Lamar Jackson who will play with a chip on his shoulder could be a steal. Even if we have to move up back into the first we have a third to make that happen.
