No link, he said it tonight on Path to the Draft.

They also believe the Giants are NOT taking a QB, but are taking Bradley Chubb or Saquon Barkley.

If that happens, the Jets will be staring a major decision in the face ... Darnold, Mayfield or Rosen?

Or they could try to trade back down with Denver, if the Broncos fall in love with one of the QB's, and seeing if they can recoup the Broncos 2nd RD Pick, which would be a perfect chart value trade. Of course thats assuming Elway falls in love with one of the QB's, most likely Darnold.

In that case we know the Browns are not taking another QB at 4, so we would still have our choice of two QB's ... plus get back into RD 2 at #40 Overall.

Then we would probably have to pick between Mayfield and Rosen at #5

That would be a dream scenario. Having our choice of Rosen or Mayfield, PLUS a number 2 makes MM look like a genius. Sign me up for this one.

This whole scenario changes if Buffalo trades with the Giants. Then you could see Allen go #1, and probably either Darnold or Rosen go #2. But still, if the Jets have either Darnold or Rosen there at #3, then the Jets are still in good shape.

If this “intel” is right, that would be a gutsy move by the Browns. Passing on Darnold, Rosen and even Mayfield for Josh Allen. They better hope they’re right.

most reports are that the giants would take darnold if he is there, but otherwise won't take a QB. so under the scenario where cleveland takes allen (and i think some other analysts have been reporting this "whisper"), then the giants could take darnold.

I read about the Darnold/Giants connection, too.

I’m getting the feeling that Macc would be fine taking either Rosen or Mayfield. Mayfield seems to be picking up steam of late. Teams seem to be valuing him more than I do.

If that happens, it's Darnold.

Honestly, that scenario is almost too good to believe, choosing between Darnold and Rosen.

If I am going to trade from #3 to #5 and the Bronco's are looking at Darnold, you get bet your bottom dollar that a 2nd Rd pick ain't cut'en it. You can forget about the cChart. I want a Kings ransom

Hard to do a deal where we drop to 5 when there is a risk that the Browns deal #4 to someone who wants the QB we want

In the case where Denver wants Darnold and we want Mayfield or think Mayfield and Darnold are equal, I can imagine us taking Darnold at 3 and waiting to see who is there at 5

1. Allen
2. Chubb
3. Darnold
4. Barkley
5..........

So, once the Browns pick we could push the button on a deal that sends Darnold to Denver for 5th pick and something........But, I'm not doing anything that moves us to 5 until I know what is done at 4

Exactly. Macc isn’t moving back and losing a QB.

There was a trade back many years ago. I do not remember the teams (not Jets), where Team 1 traded back one spot with team 2. The deal was for team #2 not to take the player team #1 wanted, which was agreed upon. Team #2 then traded with team #3 who took the player Team #1 wanted.. That's the bad part with trading back hoping to get the player who you want.

I don't blame you. The chart always gets thrown in the garbage when it comes to trading up for QB's. Heck, even we overpaid to move fro 6 to 3, which is normal, because its obvious we were trading up for a QB. So if we trade back from 3 to 5, it STARTS with the Broncos 2nd RD Pick, #40 Overall, but sure as heck doesn't END there. I want at least one more pick. They have two 3's, I want one of them, even if its the comp 3 at the end of the 3rd RD.

In the spirit of the season (and a verrrrrrry long movie), if the Browns want to take Allen,
So let it be written.
So let it be done.

I don't want him to be on the board when the Jets turn comes up. I still don't trust the brainpower of anyone in that room. They might be dazzled by shiny things.

I would expect to get the Bronco's #2, #3, and next years #1 and #3

It’s a fair argument regarding Allen. People can minimize the completion % all they want, but 56% is alarming. (Even with the drops). Allen, in my mind, is either going to be Ben Roethlisberger or Jeff George.

With that said, Mayfield is getting glossed by a lot of people, too. And he is anything but a sure thing to succeed in the NFL.

Darnold and Rosen are hands down the safest picks in this draft.

I agree with that statement also.
