perfect!! you're someone to ask.. i'm someone who does not pay any attention to college football until it applies to the upcoming draft.. why is your 1st choice the guy with legitimate interception/ball security issues??
what jumps out at you about the kid??
honestly, i didn't watch much college ball this year. so i'm going mostly off the so-called draft experts list. darnold and rosen seem the most pro ready and have the best developed skill sets. they are kind of 1a and 1b to me, but since most of the so-called experts list darnold first, i listed him first. allen has great qualities but seems very raw, which when coupled with his poor completion percentage knocks him down a peg for me. mayfield is somewhat undersized, and played in a spread offense in a conference that doesn't play defense. i'm skeptical that his collegiate stats translate to the pro game. add to it his off-field douchiness and my concern of putting him in the NY spotlight, and he is my 4th choice.
i readily admit this is not a well informed opinion. i have a young kids (just had a 2nd), just sold our apartment and moved my family, and don't have any free time to properly scout these guys. my limited college football watching was select games of my alma mater (michigan). so i can't say i watched much, if any, of any of these guys. i'm going off what i read on the interwebz. no doubt many here watch more and have better informed opinions. the younger version of me may have been able to provide a better answer. the older version with almost no free time is going on what the kipers and mcshays of the world are saying
