If by “system QB” you mean relying on Brady to make near perfect throws on timing patterns to his receivers, then yeah, I guess he’s part of a system. And I don’t know of too many QB’s who do it better than him.

Garoppolo has turned out to be a probable FQB for SF. What that tells me is that a few people in NE’s scouting dept really know how to do their jobs. He’s not doing it in a system solely based on some “Patriot way”, either. He’s doing it somewhere else.

Look, it’s fine to disagree about this. I’m not letting my Jets fandom cloud my perception of Brady. I’ve watched Brady knife us in the back enough times over the years to recognize him as a great QB. Is he douchey? Sure. Did he deflate some footballs before that playoff game? Sure. But the stat sheet and the eye ball tests don’t lie.

The patriot way (what they call it not me) is that every player on that team knows where he is supposed to be and what he's supposed to be doing pretty much 24/7 on the field and off. If they don't then they will be gone. Receivers will make great catches, offensive lineman will make great blocks, running backs will run for more yards then they did in their previous teams... And if you watch their games, you see everyone doing great things, not just brady.

you didn't answer my question. What do you think the cheetahs record would have been had garapollo played the entire year? You don't like using Jimmy g,plug in brisset. How about any other top shelf qb? Luck, Big ben... Would they not win as many games if they were on the patriots as Brady does? Wouldn't Peyton have just as many rings of he was a cheetah?

again, Brady is great .But so would plenty of Other quarterbacks be if they played on that team

I would love to know how many wins you think they would have with garapolo or any of those other guys at the helm instead of brady. I'm assuming you didn't answer because you know as well as I that the win total probably wouldn't change much at all .But again, the point of my post was that I think players are getting tired of the harsh rule of Belichick and I think Brady is going a little bit nuts with this trainer guru of his and maybe the whole empire is about to crumble. This makes me hopeful because as long as they all get along, they will be representing the afc in the superbowl

I’m not avoiding anything. I’m not answering that because I don’t pretend to have answers to hypotheticals. But you seem pretty sure about it.

based on the 14-6 record without brady, by qb's of no great acclaim with no experience, I am pretty confident. yes. everything we talk about here is pure speculation. You can make a guess just like I can. some people may have more football knowledge then others. I am not in that group. I don't claim to know anything but my opinion is my opinion and I've seen a lot of cheatah games. don't like brady, don't like belichick but if I had to pick which is the reason for the winning, I agree with the ESPN article. As A Jet fan I'd like to be saying that they both stink

If you'll notice, I don't really weigh in on any of the QB draft stuff because I haven't watched any of them play and even if I had seen them play I don't take much stock what they do in college translating into what they will do on the Jets. I'm adamant about my opinion of brady because living in Ct. I have a very large amount of case study.

funny thing is when I make this argument with a patriot fan, I get way less of an argument then I do from some Jet fans. One example. I was on a job with a younger patriot fan during the week up to the superbowl. I told him to do what I told you to do. watch the game and see if you can say, "plenty of time... wide open" every time brady drops back and when you can't say that, brady will not do well. Well it was a couple weeks after the superbowl before I was back on that job and saw the kid again. Believe it or not he came up to me and says "I haven't seen you since the superbowl. What you said about brady was the truth." No lie. I was pretty surprised for a young guy to admit it, especially unprovoked. I did not watch the game live, but I did watch it 5 times afterward(that makes them 5-8 in superbowls if you're counting like me;)). The first time brady was touched while he had the ball was when he fumbled in the 4th quarter. The rest of the time you could say, plenty of time wide open

Now once again, I 'm not saying he's not great. Even if he has 10 seconds to throw and the guy he is throwing to is wide open, he still has to be able to make the throw. And he has mounted a million comebacks. I'm just saying that for his entire growing period he had an absurd amount of time to stand in the pocket untouched and this gave him the confidence that he plays with now. Plenty of good quarterbacks given that same scenario would also have won 5 superbowls . That's all I'm saying. I'll even through this in there for good measure. He also has a very quick release when he throws a quick out behind the line of scrimmage. I can't say it's because of him that the receiver( and that would be any receiver because they all do it) runs for 20 yards or more after the catch. I curse that play out every time wondering why it never works for the Jets

Ch: Brady is a cheater so I don't like the guy..he is a low life but when you look at his record you say he is a rich teams Qb just like Bart Starr was without the cheating. I don't respect him like I do Kurt Warner.
