It is interesting to note that despite the supposed worries about Mayfield's personality and character, from what I've read, all of the teams that had private meetings with him were won over by him once they got to know him, Jets very much included - and Mac acknowledged that he was very much a skeptic before getting to know him. Among Brown's GM Dorsey's comments were that in reality, once they got to know him, they found that he is genuinely a humble kid. So perhaps the poster here who has missed no opportunity to trash him as a person based simply upon what he THINKS he knows from media accounts et al, might yield a bit to the perspectives of those who actually got to meet him, and spent time getting to know him.
