BILLS

Because two of the BIG 4 QB's slid out of the TOP 5 and the Bills only had to trade up from 12 to 7 to get their man, they were able to hang on to the second of their two first round picks. In that respect you have to admit things worked out well for them in that regard. They landed one of the BIG 4 and kept their second 1st RD Pick. That said, while I recognize Josh Allen's physical tools and enormous upside, its hard to fix accuracy issues. IMO its one of those traits that are more God-Given (born with it) and not learned. However, its not impossible to fix it, its been done before and it can be done again. I'm just saying, its far from easy and I would have been a lot more worried had they taken Josh Rosen, the best pure passer with the best mechanics in raw draft in my view. I said it a million times and I'll say it again, that kid makes throwing a football look easy and pretty, and his mechanics are smooth as silk. Lastly, while the Bills did get off cheap at first glance, they did lose both of their second round picks and are now out of the round completely, just like us, and this is a team that had/has a lot of needs. So losing those picks hurts. I'm sure we still wish we had at least one of those 2's, and I'm sure they wish they weren't out of the round entirely too. As we have said since we made that deal with Indy, it won't matter if they got the right guy. If they landed a FQB, the price will soon be forgotten. But I'd feel a lot more nervous about that if they picked Rosen instead of Allen, and the NFL consensus (by a large margin) is that the Jets traded up to 3 and landed the #1 QB in the draft. So our chances of regretting this trade looks a lot better than theirs on paper.

As for their second trade, the trade up for Tremaine Edmunds, I love the player, he's a monster, I consistently mocked him in my TOP 10 for months, so I think he was a steal for the Bills at 17 and I'm pissed off the Ravens traded that picked and handed this kid to the Bills. The only saving grace for me is that Buffalo owned the #1 Pick in RD 3 and had to surrender that pick as to move up for Edmunds. They still have a comp 3 near the end of the round, but thats a long ways away from the first pick in RD 3. So the Bills came into this draft with two 1's, two 2's and two 3's, but at the end of the night they still had two 1's and used them on Allen and Edmunds, but lost both of their 2's and the #1 Pick in RD 3, which is almost like losing three 2's, and they don't pick again until near the end of RD 3, whereas our next pick is #8 in RD 3 and we snagged the consensus best QB in the draft.

In closing, I like what the Bills did and they got off cheaper than I expected, but they didn't get off cheap ... CHEAPER, NOT CHEAP ... and IMO they took a bigger risk on Allen than they needed to take with Rosen starring them dead in the face. I'm sure the concussions issue played a big part in that decision, and Rosen's slide, but I'd be more scared if they took Rosen.

DOLPHINS

Which brings us to the hated Dolphins. Rosen was so close they could taste him. One pick away, and you knew the Raiders weren't taking a QB at 10, so it was depressing to think they were about to steal Josh Rosen at #11 Overall. That really pissed me off, AND THEN, BAM!!, Arizona saved the day! LOL They pulled a Lucy and Miami was Charlie Brown. LOL They yanked that football just went Miami was getting really to kick that SOB a country mile and give each other a million high-fives. LOL As you can see, that really made me giddy. Aside from snagging Darnold, that really made my night. Uh, good luck with your new Safety, Miami.

PATRIOTS

Wynn was not a sexy pick, OL's rarely are, but the kid is a terrific swing T/G and a definite upgrade to help keep their 41 Y.O. QB healthy. Of course that was priority #1 for the Pats because once this guy starts looking his age, the rest of us will finally have a chance. He's already way past his expiration date and Wynn gives him a better chance to keep it that way. As for Sony Michel, I have to admit I thought he was one of the most underrated players in the draft and actually projected him at #16 Overall to the Ravens in my final mock draft, so it hurt to see the Patriots steal him at 31. All in all, nothing earth shattering, but I thought the Patriots did well, now they have two picks in the second round too, one fairly early and one fairly late.

I thought the trade up for Allen was necessary for Buffalo. Like the Jets, they had to stop screwing around and go get the QB you like. They got Edmunds too. But did they have to trade up for him?

The Dolphins got Minkah Fitzpatrick, and he’s a nice player. But they’re riding with Tannehill unless they target someone in round 2. They can still find someone there.

I liked what NE did. Wynn is a nice player who will strengthen the o-line. And Michel got drafted exactly where most had him projected. He was in that next tier of backs behind Saquon Barkley.

I was thrilled to see Buffalo get Allen - should set back that franchise 5 years. Was really scared of Rosen to Dolphins being Marino all over again, but alas the Cards saved the day. Solid if not sexy pick by NE.

I wouldn't say the Bills got off cheap. They gave up a first, 2 seconds, Sammy Watkins and Cordy Glenn to move up for Allen.
Loved seeing the cards leapfrog Miami.
Pat's as always made solid pics.

The Bills gave up a lot for hopefully what will be a franchise QB. Crapshoot just like us

Dolphins, I really don't care cause it's been a long long time since they really ticked me off

Cheatahs, Ah well the cheatahs, they replaced their lost left tackle with, from what I've read others talk about, someone who should be really good and at a way cheaper price then Solder. then they picked up a bruising runner from the film I have watched wow. They are saying here in Ct, the most explosive player in the draft. And of course both were just sitting there waiting for them gift wrapped. Cheaters should be better, which means they might win the superbowl this year instead of losing it like last year.

The NFC as usual was a lot of teams that probably just got better and the AFC seems to be just as usual, a battle for second place and a loss in the AFC championship game as the highlight more all the other teams not named cheatahs

as for our Jets, well our draft was essentially a QB that probably won't play next season. I have no idea if it was worth it, but man I hope it was. Either way, as usual, none of our QB's has a great shot at success until we address the forgotten, as usual, offensive line.

Yeah when I look at my two teams I say as of today that the cards did better & i thought it was going to be the other way around......well we shall see in three years,,,,,At least the Cards pushed a qb away from the fish....& the bills over spent in my book to get a qb unless he turns out great or very good...not worth it
