Interesting to see if we will carry 3 QBs on the roster and who it may be if Bridgewater is unable to take the next step... We hope that our newly founded quarterback is the guy to lead our franchise moving forward and if he checks all the requirements asked of him head coach TB stated he has no qualms about starting a rookie... With that being said if he does get the starting nod, with McCown as the clear cut favorite to be his backup then why would we need another option that may just be wasting a roster spot... Can always sign Joel Stave back to the practice squad or any other Rookie FA QBs out there, like Riley Ferguson from Memphis or Chase Litton from Marshall could be options...
Running back, we are deep as noted above some bubble players are in bold those players should be front runners to make the roster... Dimitri Flowers as starting fullback over Lawrence Thomas whom I believe should convert back to defensive line since we are thin at that position... Draft prospect Trenton Cannon makes this roster as a return specialist and then becomes a secret weapon on offense, maybe....
Receiver is another beast as you see we have five locks, how many do we keep (6), then the fight is on, but believe even tho I have him on the bubble list, Ardarius Stewart makes the roster... Too many what ifs from the other players... They are also insurance policies if injuries happen not to mention still do not know what will happen with Anderson's legal issues...
Tight End wow we stacked, but not for nothing this was a missing link in year's past so we drafted one last year and now again this year have to presume both are locks to make the cut... After them is it the wavier claim Walford or standout blocking end Eric Tomlinson to round out this position, who knows they may want to keep four this season then someone like Bucky Hodges could make the cut...
Offensive line has some youth in it this year, we are stacked at center with a rookie free agent in the bunch... Once an extremely highly touted prospect plagued with injuries Travis Swanson can play both at center and guard should make the cut... Harrison earned another contract after his limited play last year impressing especially on that one Bilal Powell run... Golson from Auburn like Swanson is a jack knife interior lineman but gives us some hope that we have a developmental prospect in the fold... Our tackle situation is still up in the air, Beachum, Shell and Qvale are locks to make the roster and probably should make Ijalana a lock too since neither of our two right tackles can backup our left tackle position... The Canadian free agent signing although a tackle Shepley in college he likely kick inside along with Darius James from Auburn maybe the Jets are finally realizing they need to address this shitty situation...
