If the Raiders would accept that offer, Macc should do it without hesitation. Khalil Mack makes the Jets a top 5 defense in the NFL. And makes life way easier on Leonard Williams, who’d see fewer double teams.
Agreed!!!

This had to have been done for one reason and one reason only and that is so if Darnold has a couple bad weeks that the fans can't start screaming for Teddy
Honestly outside of upgrading our OL.. A pass rusher is all we need.... We are young with a lot of upside talent at LB upi get Mack and watch how much better Lee looks too..., CB, S, WR, TE....Got the franchise QB... So Let's get Mack.... get a RB in the 3rd next year (with our own 3rd pick) and go hard in Free Agency to restock the OL .....
That very well could be the plan.. We'll see soon enough. Only thing is Mack will eat up a chunk of our money which hopefully has been ear marked for o line. I would love to have someone that could actually get to Brady before he retires. That's for darn sure.
but protecting Darnold has to be #1 priority or this whole thing is for nothing. How did Indy enjoy their franchise qb last season. Don't want to make the mistake they made
i must have bumped my head, because i completely agree with you..The Jets have a ton of cap space coming. Mack would eat up a good chunk, but we’d still have enough left for a quality FA offensive lineman or two.
And Khalil Mack’s remaining prime years as an elite pass rusher would coincide with Darnold’s first contract.

I’m just glad Kirk Cousins didn’t accept 90 million guaranteed from the Jets.

I had been thinking about this earlier today, before news of the Bridgewater deal broke. The Jets dodged a major bullet with Cousins picking Minnesota. Not that he's not a good QB, but they are better off now than they would have been if they had signed him.
Teddy was trade bait as soon as Sam was drafted. I wish him the best and a 3rd is good value for what he is today... a back-up QB.

Now I hope to God we find some way to improve the o line right away
I have been waiting for someone to get it....good job CH This is the reason folks
This. And, as someone posted, give Pryor some reps, too. Might be interesting, although since he went to THE Ohio State University, they'd have to keep his playbook pretty simple.
