One game does not make a season but lets hear it for TB & the coaches

That was the best jet game as far as prep & fire that I have seen in many years...maybe since the SB ......Tb & his staff had them going a full 60 minutes not a typical jet thing. It was not just the score that impressed me but the effort. A bull in a china shop effort. The Marines have landed effort. The Patriots are worried effort. Grade A+ for the coaches......We still need a pass rush & clean up a few things but .......special teams.....where were they the last few years....last night wow. Now we need to see this every week "one game at a time.".....We got to make our stadium a place that no one wants to play in......lets get the blue out of metlife....

Yes TB and the rest of the crew were magnificent. Gotta give them props on this one. One game at a time, don’t get to high with the highs or low with the lows. Keep preparing like they did, playing hard and smart with 100 percent effort like they did Sunday and the Jets are going to surprise a lot of people.

I think the Thursday night Browns game will tell us more than Sunday but I'm no expert - JMHO.

It's not unusual for the Jets to be involved in a laugher, What may be unusual is for the Jets to be on the winning side in a laugher.

Great job by Bowles and his defense. I give him but they played great. They still need a pass rush and need to stop giving up points before and after the half. It’s been a consistent problem.

Having said that, I read online that the jets defense knew each play that was being run by reading Staffords hand signals. They did their studying this week. Let’s hope it continues.

Perhaps more impressively, the Jets played their best football coming out of the locker room for the second half. That's a tribute to the coaches.

I noticed when Sam ran for that first down last night that he looked a lot like Dash from The Incredibles. And that game was pretty darn(old) incredible too.

images wouldn't show up so posted below

But seriously, The kid throws a pick 6 on the first play. Raise your hand if you were laughing when that happened. I actually was. And somehow I wasn't down and out about it. I said, "well , he's got about a minute to think about that and then he'll be right back out there. Let's see how he responds." Well he sure did respond well, leading a touchdown drive. And that first drive he saw some pressure and just brushed it off like nothing. Test 1 passed

next for me, wasn't Sam, but the defense. I really thought they needed to hold detroit to a feildgoal to end the half. Same old Jets would have given up a td. The Sam Darnold Jets held them to a field goal. Test 2 passed

then Detroit comes out in the second half and marches the field like no ones there. Same old Jets fold here. Darnold comes out and scores a TD of his own. test 3 passed

Next week will be test 4. How do the Jets respond coming off a big win going into a divisional home game that they probably should win? Same old Jets would blow this game big time. can't wait to see what the Sam Darnold Jets do

Also.

-we had an offensive line that was not offensive
-we pressured the QB. I think someone said we had no sacks, but it sure felt like we had a bunch of them. I actually Felt sorry for Stafford. Reminded me of Rex's first game against Houston, I think it was? I felt sorry for the Shaub that day too. My memory stinks but I think that's the game
-we had special, special teams
-I think every piece that Mac added to this team had some sort of positive impact on the game, which is pretty incredible
-Lee had a solid game. Bart Scott in the post game said he called him out this week
-when Darnold threw the pick 6 and the camera tried to zoom in on him, some Jet player, I couldn't tell who it was, chased the cameramen away. That was cool
- as he walked off the field after that pick 6, the cameras did find him and he looked just like tom brady as he yelled "fuck" :global (43):

I agree. Last year one of the biggest gripes about the coaching staff and their lack of half time adjustments. 31 points in the 3rd? Certainly an improvement there.

I wasn’t laughing when Sam threw the pick 6. My 11
year old son, with his 33 Adams jersey on, looked at me and said “oh no Dad. Not again”. He’s old enough to only remember Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick’s second season with the Jets.

I told him “well, we’re going to find out about Darnold’s ability to flush it right now”.

As the game was wrapping up, he asked me for a #14 jersey for Christmas.

Funny that even at 11they understand how things work with the Jets. But I honestly have a good feeling that the tide may finally be turning(he says as he knocks twice on his cherry table)

I don’t want to make too much out of one game, but if last night is any indication of where this team is trending, then we might be pleasantly surprised by the W/L record at the end of the season.
