Julius Thomas Most Likely To Leave The Broncos In Free Agency

I don't think we need another TE but having a dual threat at TE could be a nice touch to this offense. The Thomas I want however is Demaryus but I doubt he'll walk. DT has spoken on the record though that he would be willing to give the Broncos a hometown discount.

We do have some connections that might help land him if he decides to test the market. His best friend is Eric Decker. Chan Gailey coached DT in college for all his years except his senior year.

Very good player, however not a position of need and anything that would slow the development of Amaro I'm not on board for. I think the money can be spent more wisely in another area. Can't wait to see........

Not a Julius Thomas fan. He's arrogant. Plus, I don't think he would wanna play here based on his action during our game against Denver. I could be wrong though. My opinion is that he goes elsewhere. If anyone is a product of Peyton Manning we should consider Julius Thomas to be just that.

Our biggest need is guys who can score touchdowns, we need PLAYMAKERS on offense and this kid is one of the most lethal playmaking TE's in the game, if not thee most lethal.

Belichick has shown us how two legit playmakers at the TE position can impact the game before one of the two went to prison, how impossible they are to cover, so I'm not worried about how we can utilize two TE's, I already know that we can, now let Chan Gailey figure out the rest.

We have the money, we are mandated this year to spend it, we desperately need playmakers, and we have arguably the most lethal TE in the league hitting the market this year, and he's in the absolute prime of his career, still in his mid 20's ... its a no brainer ... and frankly its highly unlikely that Jace Amaro will ever be in the same league as Julius Thomas anyway, but he can be a good complimentary #2 to Julius Thomas.

I get what you're saying Ham, if our Jets signed Thomas I would welcome him with open arms. Right now, I'm just not crazy about it. We just signed Cumberland and drafted Amaro. By signing Thomas it would create a log jam or are you thinking we would cut Cumberland? I also feel like we are always chasing the "Patriots-way." I'm just not sold on trying to copy everything "Patriots" and would love to just break away from it and in a perfect world create our own way........Again , not totally against it because Thomas is such a great player and like you said, we are lacking greatly in the area of great dynamic players.

If we sign Thomas, trade Cumberland and recoup that pick we lost for Harvin. If we don't keep Harvin, and we probably won't unless he takes a big pay-cut, I'm sure we can get at least a 6 for Cumberland, so we can always recoup that pick.

Even if we keep Harvin, it would still be nice to recoup the pick. In that case we lose a 4, but we can get a 5 for Cumby, maybe even a 4, but either way at least we're recouping our full compliment of picks in total, even if its a 5 or 6.

Don't need to sign a starting tight end. Julius Thomas is a great tight end, but why should the Jets break the bank for a tight end? Jets just drafted Jace Amaro in the second round who ended his rookie career with 2 touchdowns, 38 catches and 345 yards who had a more productive season than Cumberland and also was one of the best rookie tight ends stat wise. Amaro will be more productive once the Jets incorporate him more and give him more starting reps.

Jets need a blocking tight end, Julius is not a blocking tight end. It would be cheaper to just draft one in the draft like Penn State TE Jesse James to pair off with Amaro. Tight end is not a big need. Would rather have the other Thomas, Demaryius if the Broncos let him enter free agency. Demaryius is a speedster type wide receiver the Jets could use. Could even use the money to fill other holes like getting top OL's like Mike Lupati or James Carpenter. Even using it on a top WR like I mentioned before like Cobb or Thomas if available or even possibly to help the Jets secondary.

He did but it helps to have a HOF QB running your offense.. I rather have Deckers good buddy the other Thomas Demaryius..

Cumberland won't be cut. Does anybody realize how fast this guy is as a tight end? The Jets organization loves him. If he gets cut I'd be shocked. Cut Zudfield

TE is one of the positions on the team that should be left as is. Cumberland is off a bad year, but there is lots of potential in all 3 of the current TE's
