OK, I’m not a conspiracy theorist. But I’m getting a sour feeling in my stomach right now. Kind of like the questionable sushi you had last weekend. Something isn’t sitting right.

The fact that it’s well known that the Jets want him, and have the cash. The fact that nobody appears motivated to meet his demands. The fact that it’s taking this long.

He’s waiting this thing out, hoping for a mystery team to jump in late and give him 15 per. over 5 years. Most of it guaranteed.

I think it’s Tevin Coleman time. Screw this nonsense. When’s the deadline? Hopefully tomorrow. This guy is using us. He’s not coming here.

I agree with you Brick, but if I was Bell I would not come to the Jets. What has Macc done to improve the offensive line? We now have to look to the Draft for a LT and Center. Besides I would rather have Coleman.

Rumor is that he’s dropping a mix tape at midnight tonight which will indicate which team he’s going to.

Getting more ridiculous by the minute.

I think Bell has a short list of preferred teams, and the Jets aren’t one of them. His agent is telling him to wait this out. They’re hoping for a miracle.

I’m like most fans in saying this: if you don’t want to come here, then piss off. We don’t want you. Give us the courtesy of saying “NO” so we can move on.

It only drags out as long as Mac lets it. He needs to have the balls to walk away. Its not his fault that Bell wants stupid money, but it is his fault if he lets him play the Jets.

Sign Tevin Coleman too so we have a great one-two punch.

We have all this money to spend, that we thought was going to Barr, but I want to spend it wisely.

That said, Coleman is one of the last FA's left on the market who is in his mid 20's and could be our Johnny Hector to Bell being McNeil.

Why Bell sitting out a year won't hurt him:

John Riggins did the same thing with the Jets, then signed with the Redskins the following year.

Not only did he not miss a beat, he was EVEN BETTER with the Skins than he was with the Jets.

So there is precedent for this and it suggests Bell should not miss a beat because he took a year off.

I don’t know what to think. Does he really want to be a Jet? Or was it the money?
