OG Sitton release thought to be coming to Jets

I like Sitton. A bit older, but reuniting with Gase could be interesting. Does this signal the end of Winters' time? I think Winters is somewhat underrated, as he is good when fully healthy, but almost always seems banged up.
There is still the matter of C. Do the Jets go Sullivan, and have a veteran interior?

Well I guess Adam Gase would know whether or not there's anything left in the tank . Sitton could be a very good depth signing. He's played every position on the O-Line with the exception of center.
I can barely contain my excitement.
There's nothing more appealing than throwing FA dollars at players most fans never heard of, but this is what happens when you are stuck with a s--tload of cap space because somebody told you YES, waited till most of the top tier FA's signed elsewhere, then told you NO. Now you are holding a bag filled with money and there's not much worth spending it on. Mostly either guys who suck or aging veterans looking for one last payday.

I'm pissed off at Barr, not Mac. If a man gives you his word it's supposed to mean something. He put us in a real bind by waiting a full day to change his mind, meanwhile the top tier FA's were dropping like flies.
Wow, I misjudged Sitton, didn't even realize he was a four time Pro Bowl player.

sitton is a 4 time pro bowl guard. not sure how many of those are floating around free agency these days. he got hurt week 1 last year and placed on IR. to me, seems like he'd be an excellent addition. the jets would suddenly have 6 pro bowls between their 2 guards
Hopefully 8 next year.
He played his entire career in green bay, except last year in Miami. Had an injury and missed games. 4 time pro bowler.

Winters got a bad rep because he spent the entire year of 2017 playing through a severe tear to the abdominal area. Ideally, assuming Sitton signs with the Jets, Winters could move over to Center, but I believe TB tried him there , and he failed miserably.
That's the thing with Winters. He gets ripped on unjustly.
Winters is good when healthy. Part of the problem is that he often has nagging injuries, and he frequently plays through them at less than 100%.
