Disagree, Chandler is one of the better kickers in the league, and has a very strong leg.
Myers was our best and most consistent player last year. Did the guy miss a kick? Not sure why we would not have kept him. From his goodbye tweet, seemed like he wanted to stay with us.
I read somewhere that Mac doesn’t believe in overpaying special teams players. A 15-16 million 4 year deal for Myers , is more than Mac was willing to pay.
I would rather have had Myers.

that's a lot of coin for a kicker who was cut in 2017 and again in training camp 2018.

Tend to agree. Overall, he was good. But I do remember him missing an extra point and a chip shot FG in one game, within like, 10 mins.
I was more confused about Andre Roberts. That’s the only move right now that’s got me scratching my head.
I was surprised he left after 2017. He did a respectable job.
Myers was hot last year. Kicked above his average. It could be that he just got better and it could be he just had a hot streak. The problem was that the pro bowl selection went to his head and he was demanding more money than his history said he was worth. I liked him and wish he could have stayed but I also realize why they let him walk. Catanzaro is a kicker that we are familiar with and we know from experience that he is a decent kicker, He was about 80% on field goals and 87% on extra points last season. Hopefully Boyer can help him improve on that. I think it's a good signing for us. The kickers with good history are in their 40's so it's an awkward position to fill from free agancy.
Three expectations of any kicker:
Get the ball into the end zone or close to it on KO’s.
Make any kick under 40, make most kicks between 40-50, and hit at least half over 50.
Catman is capable of that.

Well if Cantanzaro can boom his kickoffs out of the end zone, I figure we might not have to worry too much about what revenge Andre Roberts has in mind for us as a Bill.
