Finally they draft an oline men before the fourth round. Hopefully this kid learns fast, develops well and is a starter ASAP. We need that! What we also need is Hakeem Butler with the 105 pick in the fourth round. Also a center and a CB. So far, not a bad draft at all Mac!

I have no idea who this guy is, but he can't be any worse than what we have. Plus he knows Darnold.

I can’t believe Hakeem Butler is there to start the 4th round. What happened with him? Injury? Bad interview?

I think I heard that Love’s issue is injury related. But he was a good college CB. I’d take either one of these players at this stage of the draft.

on the other hand, i feel better taking an edge rushing OLB based on game performance and a weak combine rather than not that many years ago when jets tried an OLB based on an awesome combine performance......

The Jets signed Ty Montgomery, but someone is going to get a steal at scat-back with Justice Hill. Could be Kareem Hunt without the baggage.

Had him late 4th, early 5th round selection, has a lot to work on for this level...

Needs Improvement:

• Lacks short-area quickness to beat press
• Gets wired to corners in early stages of the route
• Route running is extremely telegraphed on levels 1 and 2
• Rolls into breaks with excessive gather steps
• Labored and heavy getting out of breaks
• Drops on drops on drops
• Body catcher suffers from concentration lapses
• Catch radius doesn't guarantee he'll bring it in.

AFC WR Coach:

"He can get better with his hands. He's interesting to me because you see him turn catches into touchdowns just with his strength to break tackles. He's a handful for one guy to bring down by himself."

If we take a WR, should be Riley Ridley from Georgia will give Sammy another possession receiver with playmaking ability...

Physical possession receiver who wins with attention to detail in his routes, plus body control and sure hands. Ridley isn't the fastest receiver on the block, but there is enough under the engine to race corners down the field if he's challenged on an island. His separation windows may always be a little tighter, but his timing and ability to turn contested catches in his favor should make him a better pro than college player with an upside of WR2.

This kid should go early in the 4th, as a possible day one starter...

Julian Love should go mid fourth to a team that needs a #2 but will need that assist in coverage to make the tackle... Meaning he is not a physical corner that will make the tackle, so either underneath linebacker coverage or over the top safety help will needed to be with him out there on the field...

Needs Improvement:

• Tough player, but finesse cover guy
• Might lack length/strength to grapple at catch-point with pro ball winners
• Could stand to add more play strength to his game
• Had issues getting banged around at top of the route
• Needs help over top against NFL burners
• Unable to crank up a big top gear and carry long speed
• Gets stuck to big receivers blocking on perimeter
• Half of his pass breakups in his final season came in two games
• Better suited for boundary than field corner

Looking at whats going to still be out there later, broadly I think there are a lot of WRs who will still be out there for later picks. Not many OL who project well

I'd lean OL and find some help at WR and CB later

Center Michael Jordan is out there. I have no clue to as how good he is. But if he can play Center the way his counterpart can play basketball we would be in great shape. Also as Maxmet said, there are CB and WR out there.

He is considered by some to be on the small side but in spite of that is a very productive and coachable player.

I have a hunch it was partly for Sam's satisfaction. I have doubts about him becoming anything more than an average RT and probably not a starter. I sure hope I'm wrong.

He's a skillful player with poor character issues and weight problems. If the coaching staff can overcome that he is an absolute steel.

For my money those ESPN guys should shut their traps and just announce the picks. They seem to think we give a hoot about their opinion to the point that they keep missing the announcement of picks, especially when the Jets are on the clock.
