I would be good with it, not saying I believe it would happen. Douglas I believe is a real possibility but I think that Jeremiah likes just being an annalist to much to give it up for any team let alone the Jets.
Apparently rumor has it Douglas wont take interview and eagles wont let him unless Jets give him full roster control - this is a good thing. I can't imagine not letting your GM work without full roster control. What the hell type of job is GM if that is not the case lol. Maybe our GM's are supposed to be muses for the johnsons LOL. Seriously, I hope we are not using a magic eight ball app installed on chris johnson's wrist bands to conduct this search.
I'm pretty sure Douglas would get control of the roster and there are plenty of rumors flying around the internet that he and Gase have actually wanted to work together again. Of course you have to take all these rumors with a grain of salt, but the two of them have good history which makes me inclined to think that the job has unofficially already been filled and that all the rest is just going through the motions.
The owners have final approval on everything. When they talk about the GM not having full roster control, they're talking about Gase.
Whether the Eagles block Douglas or not will tell us all we need to know about the next few years.
