Joe Douglas made two things crystal clear:

1. He believes that other than QB football is a game of wills, imposing your will on the the other team, and that starts with the D and O-lines.

2. He believes it is NOT too late to improve the Jets roster.

Taking those two things into account, if LT Trent Williams remains adamant that he will not play another game for the Washington Redskins, I have to believe Joe Douglas will be aggressive and make a real offer, something like LT Kelvin Beachum and our 2nd RD Pick in the 2020 Draft ... and if he pulls that off, I'm thinking AFC East Title and Super Bowl. If he acquires TW I'm not thinking small (Wild Card), I'm thinking BIG.

This man has been to seven straight Pro Bowls ... seven in a row ... so we're likely talking about a first ballot HOF'er at LT.

2 picks last year at the trade, plus the 2nd rounder this year. We are done with darnold picks. We got our franchise qb for three second rounders, pretty amazing when you think about it.

I don't think they leveraged high value picks for any position, besides trading up for Wentz.

I think his moves will be mostly practice squad guys, and some cbs who get cut in coming weeks.

Highly doubt he's giving up vital draft picks for a splashy trade. But you never know, some teams let pricey vets go for a bargain.

I just think Joe is going to covet his first draft, and want all of his picks next year. If we make a jump to 9 wins, we'll be in great position to draft o line in the first. Address wr and CB in free agency or 2nd round and later. I'd expect 4 linemen drafted next year, then play making veterans sprinkled in. A la Alshon Jeffrey.
