Things to look for in game two!

Things to look for - offense vastly improves keeping us somewhat in the game in a shootout until we lose 28 to 24.

CB's cant cover so we use our safeties and double landry and odel. ILB is on tight end. God help us if Mosley doesnt dress. Leonard Williams sackless.....again and at least 1 missed field goal.

Honestly I think the offense will look sharper but unless we generate a pass rush against Clevelands broken oline - we will lose in a shoot out even if Sam plays well. We just do not have the weapons - unless Thomas can play like he did in the preseason which is doubtful in less than a week. Which means this is a game we will be entirely dependent on Crowder, Bell, and whoever else steps up. Put that up against Clevelands arsenal.

If you watch the Titans - they had generated a consistent pass rush which took baker and his weapons out. Then they built a lead and removed Clevelands run game as well since they were behind. We can only generate pass rush if our ILB and safeties help because we have no edgerusher and leonard stinks. So basically, if we do that then we have no ability to cover Clevelands WR's and TE's.

Unfortunately this sounds and reads spot on. Our only hope is Darnold and our offense does a lot better then we think. Enough to actually win the game. Maybe Gase will actually put Montgomery on the field 30-40 plays and give him the ball enough to contribute. Also maybe D. Thomas will actually contribute and Darnold will have two WRs to throw to.

If you want to be hopeful. The offensive line has to play better this week after a little more playing time together. It would be hard to play worse. Last week, every time we had 3rd and long, and there were a lot of times, you just new Sam was gonna get pounded.

also, the Browns are a team like us. They may have a bunch of better players but they are a team where you never know what you're gonna get.

this week, we could win. It's the next 4 that are making me sick

Every time I let myself be conned into being hopeful, the Jets say 'Gotcha!'.

So how many points do the Jets have to lead by entering the 4th quarter for YOU to believe they will win. I'm thinking 33, that's four TDs with 2XP each. You COULDN'T lose that lead accidentally.

I agree with you - I would be playing 2 Ty and Bell at the same time - have one go out wide and the other to a slant every down. We need all the help we can get.

Beresford, Look what I said. I said if "You" want to be hopeful. I didn't say that "I" was hopeful. In answer to your question, If we're playing the cheatahs up 33 in the 4th quarter, I'm still screaming at the tv about how we're going to lose
