OR.... he's just the worst receiver on a star-studded Pat roster and therefore the guy they have to cut to accommodate AB. Who are WE cutting to make way for Thomas?
Besides Crowder, Anderson and Enunwa you can cut any other WR we have. And if Thomas is healthy he’ll be the second best receiver we have. Seems like he is passed his prime but if he’s healthy he’s better than Anderson and Enunwa.
Lets be realistic here and I’ll say if Thomas can give us around 60-70 catches for about 800-900 yards and around 7-10 tds, then that is more then enough and definitely a win for us. Yes those aren’t his prime numbers but we know he’s past his prime anyway. These are the type of numbers a healthy Anderson, Enunwa and Crowder would have put up for us anyway.
So if all four of these WRs can give us numbers like this then this will be a potent WR core. No it won’t mean that we have one or two number one beast type WRs but what it will mean is that we have four decent WRs and you can’t stop all of them. This would very hard for any defense to deal with. Someone will always be open. Darnold will just need enough time to get the ball to them and he’ll actually have to make the throws.

Listen - you cant blame Joe here - his hands are tied Mac killed us. Joe is doing his best to bandaid. It is not like talented guys are falling from the sky. He pulled the best option he could find at center post free agency and post draft both of which he has no hand in. Now he pulled the best thing he could find at WR. Thomas just had an 87 yard game in week 1. Show me a Jets receiver with better numbers whose name is not crowder. Sometime I wonder about some of you guys...rationale and logic has left the building.

it's an unhappy crowd here. Regular season reality has smacked us all hard in the face. Regular season posts are not usually rational
I get it - but offense will get better. Id rather focus on the things that will continue to suck like the CB's our ILB without Mosely, our edge rushing, and probably our kicker =)
Joking aside for a second which I normally don't do, it really amazes me that the CB and kicker play could both be as bad as they have been.
I mean a cornerbacks job is to cover and a kicker job is to kick. We have multiple of each that can't do either. How can that be?
