Here is a question I have been thinking about....In the last ten years how do our current WR's compare in skill level (I think we may have the worst now - not including Thomas). Here are some that I think are comparable:
2019 Jets .
Crowder
Enuwa
Bellamy
Berrios
Robby
2011 Jets
Santonio
(37 year old) Derick Mason
Patrick Turner
Kerley
(34 yr old fresh out of jail) Plaxico
2014 Jets
Greg Salas
David Nelson
Kerley
Percy Harvin (HIP)
Eric Decker
Crowder beats Kerley in the slot in 2014 but probably 2011 kerley is his equal.
Santonio was skilled but attiude killed him for us in 2011 - clearly more skilled than anyone on our roster
Decker was never a #1 but he was better than Enuwa and Robby for sure in 2014
Plaxico and Mason were terrible in 2011 - I still credit that wr crew with what killed Sanchez (besides the fact he was never very good to begin with)
2014 was a joke with Harvin who had the hip issue all season.
Needless to say it is arguable the worst WR group in the last ten years is our current group. The only saving grace is Crowder and possibly Thomas if he can return to an 80% or better version of himself. Thoughts?
