We were told 4 weeks ago he "tweeked a groin muscle". I hear he will miss the Eagles game as well.

I know it sucks but have you Ever had a groin strain??.....I did and it's no fun.
Yeah we as fans have had one for over 50 years
Um, he’s injured. He was the best player on the field before he got hurt. Does he suck because he got hurt ? Was he a bad signing because he got hurt? I guess that Mac should have known in advance that Mosley would get hurt.
Thank you for injecting some sanity to the conversation.
Thank you. I try, but sometimes this board is as frustrating as is being a Jets fan in the first place!
So far he is a giant waste of money, but I can see his side of it too. He was incredible in the first game so at that point he was worth it. Each game that passes he loses value, but I also don't want to wreck his future on this shitty team. Just keep him out for another week or two. Keep Darnold out this week and regroup vs the Cowboys. Hopefully Darnold and Herndon are practicing outside the facility working on routes.
CJ Mosley isn't just a good player, he's arguably one of the three best MLBs in football. He's an All Pro. Let's not bash this guy because he missed a few games with a tough injury. He pulled a groin - that is hard injury to come back from. They should definitely be cautious with it until he is 100%, because if you aggravate that injury, he'll be done for the year. It's not worth it. Yes, we need him on the field, but if we're 0-4 or 1-3 it makes little difference. This team's season reboots when Darnold, Herndon, Mosley and Williams come back and then we'll know what kind of team we have in the second half of the year, and how much roster work there is to do for 2020 to get this team to the playoffs.
My opinion this season restarts with the Dallas game. We're not making the playoffs this year, but we can improve. And we need to see growth - better coaching, game plans, and massive improvements on offense. The defense can actually be pretty good if they are not on the field the entire game.
excellent post
i mean he missed all of 3 games in his first 5 years in the league. macc should have KNOWN he was due to get hurt in his first game with the jets and therefore not bothered "wasting money" signing him.
for now on, the jets should only draft and sign players that won't get hurt playing football

I’m sorry TCT but you post some of the stupidest comments sometimes. Mosley’s been a big waste of money??? Come on man, I know you’re smarter then that and you can’t possibly mean that. Has the guy missed a game his entire NFL career? If so remind me because I honestly don’t remember. Mosley is an All-pro and on his way to being a future HOFer. You saw what he did in his first game with us. Even if he didn’t play another down this season he was/is worth the money. Same with Bell.
Well what if he plays one game which is highly possibly?? Then is he worth it?? I guess if you think so then maybe you should call your comments stupid. And I don't care what he did with the Ravens. So far he has played in about 3 quarters of one game. Thats not money well spent unless he is on the field.
maccagnan's record as a GM speaks (loudly) for itself.. does in my book anyway..can you tell me your system for signing free agents with the foresight that they won't get hurt playing football? or should you just never sign someone because they MAY get hurt?
and no, it is not possible in the least that he plays only 1 game under the contract he signed. well maybe he will get hit by lightning and never be able to play again, in which case we should all skewer macc for signing someone prone to being struck by lightning
maccagnan's record as a GM speaks (loudly) for itself.. does in my book anyway..
he & coach bowles were the worst GM/HC tandem in franchise history..
