Just as the "buttfumble" doomed Sanchez, "I'm seeing ghosts out there" will be to the detriment of Darnold. It makes him look scared and feeble. Also has every D Coordinator for our next opponents licking their chops. They know our O Line can't protect/adjust against simple blitzes and Darnold gets spooked when he thinks they're coming. bad situation, folks.
Yup. All season, 3rd and long will be a blitz and a sack. You can call Vegas and place the bet
Book it. I watched Darnold's picks earlier and most were at the WTF level. Without exaggeration, he panicked and just flipped the ball into space. Didn't dump it into the ground or out of bounds but into space where the defender had an opportunity to catch the ball. He's supposed to be a franchise QB right? Can't have that level of play. That's the b/s we came to expect from Geno, Sanchez and Fitz who were all INT machines.
And last night I'm sure, whenever he did that, there was a cheata h waiting in the spot he threw it.
Someone in one of these threaded that it looked like the cheetahs knew are plays better then us. Of course they did. Belichick has videotape of our practices. Of course he does. But even though he's a big cheatah, you have to give him credit for spending more time than any other coach would watching those illegal tapes
The reality is that Belicheat and his coaching staff eat Gase/Williams-level coaches for breakfast. They are on another level completely. I don't like the Pats, but I've never seen a team adapt and adjust like them. Look at last night: They've got three starters on offense out. So they design a scheme where Brady is hitting guys you never heard of all night, one for a 40 yard TD. That takes skill and execution.
If only the Brothers Johnson did not buy this team. Maybe Belicheat would have stayed and worked his magic for us instead of handing in that infamous cocktail napkin.
What's most amazing is how they can be down 3 olinemen and still look better then the best oline ever. That's on Scarnechia. Not Belichick. And he was there before Belichick. All Belichick did was get him out of retirement after a year without him. Once in a while the guy actually gets some credit too
Totally agree. That's why I said Belicheat AND his coaching staff. They have assembled a phenomenal group of coaches who just all seem to be on the same page and work well together. As we've seen, once they leave their track record is not that stellar.
He's a young guy so clearly understands that memes and other media b/s happen almost instantaneously. Unless you have a dedicated internal filter, no way Darnold should have exposed himself like that. Now, forever, he'll be known as the "I'm seeing ghosts" QB. Just another slap in the face/embarrassing moment for this franchise on par with the buttfumble.
I can't believe that HOW MANY YEARS later they announcers are still bringing that shit up?
Are they really that bad at their jobs? It was 7 damn years ago and no one seems to remember Moore getting tossed like a rag doll into his QB, they want to blame Sanchez for losing the ball while a 300+ pound lump of crap was tossed on top of him

I don't think Belichick gives them a copy of the tapes when they go. The few loses by Belichick, have been to former assistant coaches that at least know part of the secret

Just another QB ruined by this franchise. I really like Darnold and wanted to draft him for almost 2 years and was so excited that he fell to the Jets, but the Jets ruined him. Gase should be fired immediately because he did it. Mac was fired, but he ruined this roster and I hope something gets him.
