How long will it take? To fire Adam Gase

I just never saw the attraction in hiring this buffoon...

He is not a QB guru, the only thing about QBs is he will never throw them under the bus for their piss pour play... This guy doesn't understand what it takes to build a successful team, and will destroy the growth of any quarterback he gets his hands on... Yea his success with Peyton Manning was because of Peyton Manning... Look what he did with Cutler in Chicago, then Miami with Tannehill and they proceeded to say he would be good for Darnold and nope... Not only did Sam get mono he has looked like he is reversing then progressing... There is no reason this should go on but this is the Jets organization and they will continue to ride it out for a few more years unless Sam gets injured to the fact of placing him on injured reserve... But this man is the man of excuses and will likely weasel his way out of blame...

Unfortunately there is just absolutely no way C Johnson is going to fire Gase without giving him a couple of season to show what he can do.

They have the immediate excuse of previous regime to save them this year, so the real judging won't start until next season.

On defense, on CJ Mosely and Jamal Adams are any good. Mosely isn't on the field. Adams is a stud. Other than that, no one Is good.

You're pretty much right but we do have a few, not many, other guys that would be decent if they played for another team. Hell, they'd all have superbowl rings if they played for the cheetahs.

I would like to be understanding and say that injuries played a major factor in these results. But when I listen to Ray Lucas and Bart Scott during the postgame they are pointing out Gase's obvious flaws and inability to adjust to changing circumstances. I feel like a common theme is some players are not showing up. Too many mistakes. This is happening way too many times. This is on the coach.

The Jets have less than 5 players that would even start for another team. 5 years of Mac at GM produced a bottom 6 roster. Then a bottom 3 and now possibly the worst roster in the NFL.

Yes, the problems start at the top. If your scouts suck, then your draft will probably suck too. Hopefully, Douglas since he learned the business from a successful model, can tear down this infrastructure and build a new one. Incredible to think about the number of wasted resources from 1969 to now, totally f_ing incredible. It points directly to the fact that stable, intelligent ownership is the key to success. Unfortunately, we don't have that. Jet fans should unite to demand that Johnson's sell this team to someone who really cares about its success.

You have to give Gase and Douglas a chance to 'buy the groceries'. The state of the O-line is not on them. Admittedly it took long enough to shift the TE to help Edoga. Shell is the only guy on an initially-weak line who isn't now carrying an injury.

However, if the next #1 pick is a safety or 300lb DT then move my vote to 'sack now'.

Last year, when the media started talking about us hiring Gase to replace Todd Bowles, I thought it was a joke. Like the football gods felt enough time had passed to repeat the Rich Kotite calamity.

Didn't the guy just get fired from Miami after leading his team further into the abyss? As a supposed QB/Offense whisperer, failing to turn Tannehill into a competent QB? Spectacularly imploding his reltionship with Miami's owner? So, this is the HC you want to bring in here to mop up Bowles' mess and lead the franchise forward?

After another in a seemingly endless number of awful hires, the Johnsons deserve what Gase has brought/will continue to bring: Ineptitude and failure. Never forget: The team you see on the field is comprised of players he brought in as GM/HC and selected as the best as he saw fit to enter the 2019 season.

Remember that the phins players already revolted against him before his ouster in Miami. Players talk. As much as there is talks about this being a tight locker room, if things don’t change, which Gase believes that it is not him and not him that needs to change, the revolt may happen sooner than we think.
If things stay the same, I think that the pressure from the fans as well as internal pressure from the locker room will force our idiot ownership to change yet again.

Said this before - was not a fan of the Gase hire at all. It made no sense. He impressed me early on with how he handled the team. But this offense is putrid. There's no other way to say it. Now, is that because the o-line stinks, we lost Enunwa for the year, and Herndon for the first 6 games? It's a factor. And the injuries on defense are hard to recover from - Avery, CJ Mosley, and Anderson are all big losses. That said, other teams are playing with backups and playing pretty well - Jacksonville is just one example.

Can we still get McCarthy? Probably not - we left him at the altar. So let's assume for a minute that Douglas and Chris Johnson have seen enough to say - ok, Darnold is regressing because he has no time to throw and the offensive game plans are not putting Darnold in a position to succeed even if he is completing 70% of his passes. We need another coach - Who is it? Who is going to want to come here to rebuild this franchise again? Can we go out and get a Jim Harbaugh to come here? Who else - let's start proposing solutions instead of guessing at the problem - I think we figured out at this point that Gase thus far has been an unmitigated disaster. Let's stop waiting for him to become a good coach and go find a coach who is already good...

don't forget coach bowles.. he had quite the love afair here as well, until he didn't..

the problem is woody & woody's brother have no idea what the **** they are doing..

they consistantly hire people who have no idea what the **** they are doing, who then put together staffs that have no idea what the **** they are doing either..

if they willingly destroy darnold in real time i think i'll done with them.. life's to short..
