Conner will open up more holes with his power for our runners such as Ivory and CJ. Conner will also be better on 3rd and short situations. That being said, bohanon is a better receiving fullback and he can also block. Personally id probably go for Tommy just because he younger and more agile/quick. But it is very close and will be very interesting

I agree but I don't think Chris Johnson will be back next year.
What they had no choice?? When BB went to the Pats most went with him.. Bowles went and got coaches that wanted to be with him..That's the way it always has been..

The players thing is huge as one of Rex's biggest faults is his undying loyalty.
Personally I hope he takes David Harris with him - Harris has been too slow to be effective in coverage for a long time now, and I would much rather Davis slide into a "run stopping" role and we find a cover-type ILB.
Personally I wouldnt be against tendering Snacks at the 2nd round level (about $2.2 million) and seeing if Rex will bite on that. Yes Snacks is a great player, but he is very one dimensional, and whether it be this year or next will likely demand a contract over $5 million per year. I would much rather see us keep kenrick ellis at a much cheaper price, and turn Snacks (an UDFA) into a second round pick that can be used to get the team younger and faster.
One guy I hope we can keep is Douzable - he is an excellent backup and can play DT or DE.
I like Harris. He has a knack at getting to the QB. I saw him in the backfield and in the QBs face every time we blitzed. Snacks may be one dimensional but he does what he is supposed to. He eats up blockers. I rather keep Snacks than Harris but both are on my list of keepers.

they won't bite on a second round tender for snacks because they already don't have their first rounder so I doubt they go into the draft with no 1st or 2nd rounder in any other year they might have.
Like i said harris was a good jet but I think his days are numbered here he is not like a LT LB who would have been irreplaceable. Davis can cover more ground than harris at this point.
If we can just land jason woirlds in FA and reilley and IK get better our LB core can be strong.

The Jets can save $3.5M against the cap by dumping Johnson. It should be a no-brainer to move on from a part-time speed back, one that will turn 30 in September, is behind Chris Ivory on the depth chart and carries some off-field headaches. If Johnson is indeed cut, he will find a very cold market and would have to settle for a role-player salary in order to stay in the league. The artist formerly known as CJ2K produced a 155-663-1 line in his first year as a Jet.

Imo because Ivory is better. But idiots Rex and MM cost us at least 3 or more games by forcing washed up CJ on the field instead of Powell when Ivory needed a blow.
It was infuriating watching him run for two yards into the pile on nearly every carry while two vastly better options stood idly watching on the sidelines.
Hopefully Cimini is correct and Mac sends Johnson packing next week
