Gregg Williams needs his corners to be successful in man defense, but the same time in his primary zone defense his corners need to be able to find the ball... I expect Trumaine Johnson will be literally the first apple to be chopped off the roster... Now it gets interesting... Will Brian Poole who has been having a good year will he re-sign, that is the question... He fits here, and he has excelled in Gregg Williams defense...
Acquiring Canady, Hairston, and Countess all under contract for next season... Rookies Bless Austin and practice squad corner Kyron Brown both look like they will be a part of the roster next year in some shape... Hairston actually has played better than Darryl Roberts whom I am expecting also to be released after the season, a penalty machine... I doubt they will draft early, maybe look for another late round sleeper, like L'Janoris Sneed from Louisiana Tech is someone (6th rd).
If by the end of the season, Austin stays healthy his skill set could vault him as a starter for next season, pair with Hairston or the rookie and Brian Poole at nickel this position won't be a liability...
