Somebody is going to knock this punk out at some point. I hope I get to see it.
So happy to see how he and the Browns fell off the wagon this year. Our problem is can we EVER even get on the wagon? We have such a sorry organization that we can't even truly tell if we have a franchise QB or not. Yes he has shown signs some games and other games he has looked lost. Is that because of the lack of talent and o-line around him and most of all coaching or is it him? I don't think it's Darnold but it sure would be nice to see what he can do with the right elements around him. SMH!!!
I don't know if Darnold is the guy because I've never seen him play with real talent, but I sure hope he is. I thought from day 1 that Mayfield would be a bust in the NFL. He had a very small taste of success against some bad teams. He did a billion commercials. He was handed stud weapons on offense. I got crushed on this forum by a few posters. I admitted my hatred for Baker before he was drafted. I even conceded that Baker has some talent. However, he is completely lacking athletic ability so when things break down he can't make plays at this level like Darnold can. Now he has had 2 HC's fired because of him and now a GM. The new regime won't have any ties to Baker so he better fix all his character issues. In the meantime, I will continue to root for his failure.
I was with Tebow the whole time on Mayfield. I thought he was overrated and an arrogant punk. I still feel that way. He’s very immature, conceited, and his game is erratic. The NFL figures out how to defend guys like him fast. It only took a season. He will be an average QB for most of his career in my opinion.
